Hello Peter. How are you? I wonder if you could tell me which type of equipment you used to film this video and also the resolution you set for having this great views of the place. Was it 4k or 8k?

marco mennes hi Marco, I used SJCAM SJ5000x Elite action cam and only 1080p 60fps with HDR mode on. It is really a great and cheap camera.

The beach next to Fteri is called „Limidhi“, it is very beautiful but dangerous cause of the falling rocks

How long was the hike until you reached the beach?
@petermezei807 жыл бұрын
if you park at the lonely tree (coordinates in my other video's description), it's ~45 minutes in a relaxed pace.

Is there anyone here who visited Fteri Beach with a boat? What kind of experience do you have, is a man who can take you there, okay? When can he take you and how do you feel about him taking you back to Zola? How much does it cost to ride a boat and how does it work in September?
@petermezei807 жыл бұрын
we did not take the water taxi, but as far as I know (from others) it was 12 eur per person last year, you agree with Spiros when he comes back for you and he comes to pick you up then. In September it is very random, it depends on the weather, when it is stormy or very windy with big waves, Spiros might not want to risk it. But I guess you wouldn't go to Fteri under such circumstances either.

Péter Mezei Maybe do you know at what time of the day he drives passengers to the beach?

Thanks Peter for sharing that. Do you mind telling me how you get down to the beach? By foot or water taxi? I would love if you give me some tips on how to get there. Many thanks.

I'm glad you liked the video. :) There are two options to get there: walking or water taxi. If you decide to walk down, please check out my other video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHXId35-jbWJb7c. There are GPS coordinates in the description (and a Google maps link as well) on where to park your car, where the footpath starts. I can recommend walking down, it's a great experience, but make sure you wear training shoes, the path is very rocky. About the footpath: after you parked your car at the given coordinates, start walking in west direction as seen in the video, until you reach a simple gate made from wires. You can easily open it, but make sure to close it behind yourselves, because the owner of the property will be angry, if his goats flee. And yeah, if you are afraid of goats, you better take the watertaxi instead, because they are everywhere. The first section of the path is hopefully understandable from the video, the second part may be useless, because I recorded it in timelapse and you can see only bushes. :( If you follow the path until you get to the canyon, don't go down there, turn right and follow it's edge until you see a yellow/red arrow painted on the rocks on the ground. Cross the canyon there, because there the haywire fence is cut open. You can continue the path on the other side of the canyon and will stay on that side until you reach Fteri. You only have to follow the red dots/arrows painted on rocks, may need to look backwards sometimes to find the signs, because they painted the signs on the way back up, so sometimes they are not visible on the way down. The whole walk takes around 45-50 minutes in easy pace. Bring water for the walk back up, because that's quite a hike. And don't forget: wear proper shoes. About the watertaxi: I don't know much about it, only that you have to search for a guy in the "port" of Zola and he takes you to Fteri if the weather is good and goes to pick you up if you tell him when to go back. Hope it is helpful.

Thank you so much Peter, I will definitely check out your other video, and discuss this with me partner. We are not hikers, and a 50 minutes hike uphill does sound a bit intimidating, but the view from you video is too gorgeous for us to pass up. Again thank you so much, you're a star!

Don't worry, my wife hates hiking, but she was like "wooo", "aaah" on the way down and she said it was well worth it when we got back to the car. We actually did a few rests on the way up, so it wasn't that bad. Just take your time, no hurry. :) It was a sunday in August by the way and we had the beach for ourselves quite long. If you go on a weekday, you can be almost sure you will be alone.

So if i good understood when i reach the canyon it`s important not to cross the canyon, i go right I suppose that canyon is from my left side, and when I reach to the rock where is yelow and red arrow, there I cross the canyon and it will be from my right side?
@petermezei807 жыл бұрын
erasmus erazmo exactly, when you reach the canyon, turn right (towards the coast), and search for the painted arrow
