If you chose Reconciliation and actually were nice to the Rebel ship you could have gotten a Zoltan Overshield, which combined with the Rockship is insane for defense.

Pravus, might I suggest rearranging your weapons? As they get damaged the weapon most to the right is knocked out first. So, drag your fksck to the far left. Then the hull laser.

Just a tip:Flak I is better than Flak II. Also you will be op if you go full flak, Also known as the Flakkening. It works so well trust me. lmao Edit: Also that Zoltan quest,If you chose the 1st Option then the 2nd one,The Zoltans could give you the Augument "Zoltan Shield" reeeeeeeeeeee nvm tho.

The flak guns are much better for taking down shields, and then I would recommend using your other weapons for specific targets. Hope this helps... either you on any future runs you might make, or anyone else who may read this comment in the future. 🤙

you can turn on the autofire for each weapon individually by using CTRL LEFT + Left click. it's very useful

If you chose the one with we must unite you could've just gotten Zoltan shields and left. Pravus threatening anyone to surrender does the opposite of what you want.

Um why in the world is Pravus not using the number keys for the weapons? The '1' key selects weapon 1, the '2' key selects weapon 2, etc.

the flak II really helped me beat the final form of the rebel ship in position 1, as it still had the possibility to break their shields but yeah I'd slide it over to weapon position 1 so it won't go down if you take damage.

Rearrange your weapons so that the Flak is first. It fires much more slowly so you want it to stay up. It also can do damage all on its own, unlike the Hull Laser.

Contrary to a lot of the comments listed, there’s actually another reward for completing the Zoltan cruiser quest in the form of Envoy, a Zoltan with maxed out stats. Not the end of the world, woulda been nice, but I think it’s better that the run isn’t a cakewalk.

I’d care to somewhat disagree with your claim that the Flak Cannon is the best weapon in the game, emphasis on the somewhat. I’m currently in the middle of a run (Sector 8) in which I was lucky enough to get the “Deathball Special”, that is to say, have two Glaive Beams and a fully upgraded hacking system, preferably a Weapon Pre-Igniter as well. It packs enough firepower to one-shot the Flagship, given you can get around phase 2’s defense drones and phase 3’s energy shield, but luckily I have a Charge Ion for that. Granted, that being said, the power of “The Flakkening” is not one to be underestimated.

The only tip I can give you is: Don't give up. You will fail countless times, you just need to learn to enjoy seeing all your crew die, all your systems offline and fires burning out of control.
