@@zockersteinhd9510 I failed. I didn't realize that you couldn't go over the 5% allowed daily loss even when a trade was open. I ended up getting the 10% in the end but I risked too much and failed. I wasn't ready anyway. I feel like I'm ready now but I will wait a little while longer just to be sure. I'm in the middle of a competition with my broker so I will wait until it's finished so I can focus 100% on the challenge and not my own account. This is a tough process but I know it's going to pay off.

The Profit Split happens every month on the same day - you can see this in the video in the top left corner of all screenshots. There is no set milestone which you have to reach in order to receive your Profit Split. Even if you make 1$ (or less) you will be eligible to receive 70% of it.

Dear Rafsun, cases such as you described are assessed individually based on the outcome of the trades you held through the weekend, whether you breached our rules already in past and other circumstances. Based on the contract - article 2d - that we have signed, you could lose the FTMO Account for such breach. Generally, we do not resolve the situation that way, but as said above, it is quite circumstantial.

Hello Ricky, Max Loss does not really reset as it is a total drawdown allowed on your account. If you refer to the number recorded in your MetriX, that does not reset and always displays the maximum DD value recorded throughout the existence of the account.

@@mohamedyacineelkedim2094 guerrilla trading looks bad to me. setups take way too long. confirmation takes way too long. price patterns are basically just 2, and only one of them works with most pairs. it is quite an inefficient way of trading in my books, even if it manages to work.

@@mohamedyacineelkedim2094 no problem. however, i don't pay for courses, because they are usually an incomplete interpretation, or a disguised/altered version of a traditional method. The teachers are more like plagiarizers/analysts, as opposed to real traders. Their successful students are usually just smart, and do not prove the legitimacy of the teacher. I have also never joined any communities, and the closest things I use and give credit to are KZbin and ForexFactory. However, I believe that most things are usable, but you have to solve the problem of how to use/apply them. Price action works and should be used with market structure/support & resistance zones. Indicator trading also works, and can work standalone as well if you have backtested a complete system. No Nonsense Forex is basically wrong about everything, but you can take his blueprint for indicator trading (just don't believe that he invented it). -I.e., ignore everything he says about anything, and only look at his blueprint. Elliott Wave Theory is not to be used as a methodology, but as a supplementary forecasting tool. Criticisms for it is that it is hindsight and subjective; however, only the latter applies, and does not invalidate it. News events/reports can be used as supplementary tool, but is not necessary for technical or indicator traders. If you use them with an existing analysis, it can sometimes present obvious/great opportunities. No need on trade during news. Just wait for price action to form after news releases. I suggest learning about consolidation/accumulation/distribution. Use price action and market structure to trade them. Ofc, use multiple timeframe analysis. It actually doesn't take long to do at all. E.g., if you see a potential opportunity on a timeframe, just flip to confirm on another timeframe. Don't waste too much time on anything. *I run away from strategies that have you sit and watch every bar for hours, waiting for a confirmation/invalidation.* not that they don't work, but it wastes time. Everything can be used in conjunction. E.g., you can use news, indicators and technical analysis together. Market cycles are also useful. Short-term market cycles can help time trade entries/exits. Intermediate-term market cycles can be used to forecast for intraday trading. Long-term is less useful for intraday trading. Risk management should be backtested by yourself rather than just following what other gurus recommend. Test things such as partial take profits. -Some ppl like to scale in, but I personally do not scale in. Every new trade I enter is a new analysis, and I only scale out of open positions. However, I'm sure both works. -I avoid trying to ride the trend with a full position size, unless it's way too obvious. this is because i am not a trend trader. *this means i only ride 1 wave max before taking at least partial profit.* Enter trades on timeframes below the daily, but if you are lazy, you can use an indicator system and just enter on the daily. Just make sure to use your backtested risk management. For backtesting indicator systems, use the simulator. I just use the mt4 one. for backtesting price action, scrolling the chart is simple to do. I don't scroll bar by bar, so I can't comment on that, but I'm sure it works and has advantages. Not talking about the indicator system, but when using technical analysis, sometimes, EMAs can show some clear signs. such as at a certain point in a market cycle, when price respects the EMA, it will just look very obvious on the chart. Ofc, market maker/stop hunts, ignoring all the conspiracy theories, are useful to learn. it's also just a simple concept. expect price to penetrate the support/resistance. if you forecasted the opposite direction, then it becomes a great entry. if you forecasted the same direction, then wait for a retracement and confirmation before entry. I hate wasting time, so the former is more time efficient. if you spot it, then just get ready to enter a trade. regarding inefficiency, this is why backtesting risk management is important. i do not like to sit and wait for the perfect confirmation, so often, i will just enter when i see an opportunity. this is obviously not the best option, but i compromise for time efficiency. thus, backtest on probable TP and SL targets. Regarding RRR, if your strategy is higher than 70%, then don't stress about having greater than 1:1 ratio. If your strategy is low probability, then ofc you need a good ratio. I'm usually at the 70-80%, I don't trend trade, I take partial profits, etc., so it will be below 1:1. However, with this type of trading, a good ratio is 1:1. You don't need more. the ATR is also good for intraday trading. as usual, backtest it yourself rather than following what gurus say. you can use ATR for SL, TP, and trailing stops. i use ATR on H1, H4 and Daily charts only. support/resistance levels are also useful for partial take profit levels. ofc, you can choose to only use price action/market structure, or only use indicator system, etc. or you can use everything. you just need to backtest everything yourself. i'm sure guerrilla trading can work, as i find most things can work. but i prefer avoiding strategies that seem to require you to be glued to your screen. also, average trade duration is around 7 hours for me. in this sense, some trades are exited very quickly, while others are exited on the next day or two.

Once the trader becomes FTMO Trader, there is no additional verification process - you receive the FTMO Account only once you are verified and we do not need any additional verification for the Profit Split. The first trader was very likely waiting for his first Profit Split, since it took him quite some time until he was actually in some profit. You can see this from the balance curve shown on the screenshot as it is for the entire trading period.

No, even if we think that someone's statistics are not that great but they pass the evaluation process, we still have to fund them and make them FTMO Traders. Trading Objectives are fixed metric that does not take into consideration our subjective perspective - after all, we never know what intention/strategy is hiding behind each account's trades, so it would be simply unfair if we did that.

Nearly impossible to get a strategy that has a 96% win rate. Try to focus on your risk to reward. My is usually around 3.00 so I could loose 3 trades in a row and 1 win would compensate for it.

If we are assuming that you have 80 000 EUR account and that you are going to grow your account to 100 000 EUR by leaving there your profits, the Max Daily Loss will still be at 5% of your initial capital - so you will be able to lose 4000 EUR as per Max Daily Loss and you will not be able to go under 90% of the initial capital as per the Max Loss limit. However, if you grow your account by using the Scaling Plan, your initial capital will now be considered to be 100 000 EUR and you will not be able to go under 90 000 EUR as per Max Loss limit and your Max Daily Loss limit will be 5000 EUR.

@@HungarianPrince If you get to 100 000 without Scaling Plan and lose 10 000 (but not in one day), you are still in the game, because your initial capital is 80 000 EUR and you can not go below 72 000 EUR. If you mean after the Scaling Plan, your initial capital would be 100 000 EUR and therefore losing 10 000 EUR would not leave you with any profits and your account would be terminated. If you violated the Max DAILY Loss however, we would still pay out your profits (if there are any left).

We allow overnight positions (even over the weekend) without any issue on the Challenge and Verification Accounts. On the FTMO Account, we do NOT allow holding a position over the time when there is not liquidity for longer than 2 hours - so you should be good on most instruments during business week but you will definitely not be able to hold positions over the weekend.

Uses fundamentals to formulate an initial idea and only then, goes to analyse sentiment & has an extremely precise technical analysis for Entries & exits. I've seen 15 - 20 R:R on relatively big accounts. Insane precision and win rate. Could be an algo too. But i doubt it. who knows.

Objectively and statistically speaking, there is no set number for this. The more you backtest the more accurate result you will get. However, to have a robust strategy, it might be a good idea to get AT LEAST 1000 trades in.

Hi MoneyJuice_, Once you pass the FTMO Challenge and Verification, you will be allowed to remotely manage the FTMO Account with chosen initial balance. To avoid any confusion, please note that all accounts we provide to our clients are demo accounts with virtual funds. After a client becomes the FTMO Trader, he/she is provided with login credentials to a demo account, with a difference that the FTMO Account is connected to our Proprietary Trading Firm’s live trading account with real capital. That is where we generate real profits. Clients are entitled to 70% of profits generated on the FTMO Account. We are not a broker. We can not simply send you money without an invoice. Since the trader is essentially becoming a service provider, this is the only option. However, we might make this process even easier for all of our traders in the future.

the 4th trader doesn't know how to trade. it's a pure fluke he/she passed the FTMO challenge. the 2nd trader is too amazing (so far). *plz do a followup for us next month.* there are several interesting things about this trader so far. Either lucky or legit. 3rd trader wasn't too interesting after the 2nd, so i have no idea. the 1st trader was in a drawdown every month until now? :O feels like he/she also doesn't know how to trade. Look at those 0.01 lot sizes. too tired by the time of the 5th trader, but he longed USDJPY 6 times in a row, all losses. Reminds you of revenge trading. so, it looks like out of 6 traders, there is 1 potential trader who knows how to trade here, but that trader only has 1 month of stats, so isn't an old trader at FTMO. *follow up on him/her plz*

Thank you for your feedback, we will pass it on for consideration. Please keep in mind, that we select all of the accounts at random so every FTMO Trader has the same chance showing up. I would avoid saying that some traders here are flukes/do not know how to trade. After all, we never know what is going on behind each trade and judging just from the balance curve has it's limit (not showing open profits/losees etc.). We are glad that these traders were able to generate profits for themselves and for us and we wish them nothing but success.

there is a specific reason why he blocked the trading account numbers so that people like you dont annoy him/her lmaooo, it makes sense that you want to become profitable like... to be real with you, its probably an EA (expert advisor) aka robot making those trades because FTMO does allow EAs.
