Follow the video step by step. I assume that you haven't put up server address as default Gateway in the settings of that PC. Try this, hopefully that will solve ur issue.

I guess final year project is of more credits. Doing just this simulation doesn't justify those credits. Instead of that, you can simulate an entire network, which consists of ftp,dhcp etc. Hope that answers your query

You can create a full fledged network with various servers like dhcp, ftp, DNS along with firewalls using various classes of IP addresses . If you want to use wireless devices Or IoT based devices, you lot for higher versions of Packet Tracer.
