thanks 👍 quite pleased with the light bar , I have to run the wires properly and fit a tidy battery holder as I'm just using the original switch that comes with the torch atm but battery wont last long as it's only 2 2032,s in there atm but does the job. yes no problem with the water so far 😜 it was submerged a few times 🤣👍

Nice vid👍I saw a video of yours a while ago with your suspension and I noticed that there was less body roll and the wheels didn't hit the body. I decided that, that was the best thing I have done to my ftx kanyon. Thanks for the idea. I wouldn't have thought of doing it if I didn't see your video it has helped with crawling and I am able to get around the side of things without tipping up!!👍👍👍awesome video

thanks for the comment 👍 I found the mod completely transformed the truck, I have put the shox back just to see the difference and it was terrible compared lol.. I also found now I've added a little weight to the front its 10 times better on steep climbs. glad your happy with the mod, it's a must I say 👍 cheers

Ye I put the spare wheel on the bonnet but I might try put something under the bonnet so that it still look good at the same time 😂

210g sea fishing weight I used as that's what I had in the draw but getting some wheel balance weights soon. anything will work though I suppose.

I just have a 4600 battery and the original 540 60t motor and I can do a hour long walk around the woods with lights on. I did upgrade to a 35t and 27t but found over time it chewed up the plastic driveshaft bearings and needed replacing 😂

yes bud I have had all sorts of motors in this over the years but none of them are as good as the original 60t 👍🐿

nice, I have a senton too 🤪 comes with an 1800mah nimh 7.2v but can run a 2s lipo on which it's much better 👍

hi I just ordered one of these . when you say you sealed the receiver how did you seal it? what did you use? thank you cant wait, I saw a video of one of these going almost higher then the door meets window , possible without mods?

hi, I used silicone around mine, the box lets water in otherwise. you could put the actual reciever in a balloon and put silicone around the hole and zip tie it. that will work well . it will take a bit of water out the box but not a lot , best seal it 👍

just sealed the reciever bud thats it mainly. the rest is greased all the bearings n stuff and the truck gets stripped after every swim 👍

yes a bit of weight up front will help for sure. and yes bud I recommend them all day, for the price they are great. chassis mod is a must but apart from that your good to go. I've beaten this for 2 years and still do and I've changed very little due to damage. I'm sure you eould love it. I will say they are big more 1/8 scale than 1/10 which to me is a good thing. if you have any more questions feel free to ask. I've lots of videos for mods etc here 👍

Can I ask does it have rear wheel steer? My son has the ftx ravine. That thing is awesome for the £99 I paid for it. The rear wheel steer is a amazing feature and it is indestructible.

sorry for the late reply bud, no it doesn't have rear steer but a lot have converted them, you need another front axel n a few other bits but it can be done. ravine is a great truck too 👍

it's a tamiya connector it is but a lot of my batteries are Dean's so I just bought a converter lead 👍

you do need to seal the receiver box first as that's not really waterproof but then it's good to go. I would advise that you grease everything first to make it better though 😀👍

the biggest 2s I have is a 3000mah and lasts over an hour, obviously you can get bigger ones that should last longer. plus the esc has lipo cut off as its designed to run lipo so no worries there. just use the biggest you can get theres loads of room in there 👍
