Yes you are right all parameters are in india for diesel and petrol but... same time few petrol pump does not follow the same. Injector cleaning with throttle body cleaning is required & it should be done on regular intervals. Fuel additives really useful upto certain limits After cleaning injectors & throttle body, spark plug with air filter, i personally feel the pick up & sound changes.

Sorry, but you are wrong this time. Fuel additives ( in recommended dose) is actually very good. This is, after I done an extensive research on team bhp forums( encyclopaedia of car discussions) and used it thereafter. And true to the words, it did boost my performance of my diesel Ecosport. And no, that's not placebo.

Respected Amit sir, Good morning. Watched your video. Very informative 👌. But I have different experience. I have Swift zdi and two bikes with me. I have been using petrol additive from last six years. I'm not a blind follower. So I have tested them for a long and successively. I want to notice that I am using "Iftex system 2" for bike and " Iftex system D" for my Swift. Sir I have experienced that my Swift performance remain same but it's fuel economy has increased....and this is not a one day experience....I used to keep a record of all fuel filling (tank full to tank full) with odometer reading. I'm not exaggerating and it will hard to believe....but Swift gives me milage of 26 to 28 on highway and 21 to 23 in City. Now coming to bikes. I have Suzuki GS 150 R and I started using petrol additive when it crossed 5000 km. Again results are noticeable....47 to 50 kmpl city and 55 to 63 on highway. I used to drive bike from pune to Satara. This is first part of story. Now many will comment what's the proof???? I have PUC certificates with me which clearly shows the emissions of gases like NOX, SOX, CO, CO2 have been reduced considerably. After all when fuel will burn completely the emissions will come down. Believe it or not...but I recommend to use them.

There Is great chemistry behind the fuel characterization. I only comment here for petrol fuel, petrol two types, 1st normal leaded, which is know for anti knocking agent and premium petrol which have additives for octane boster and engine detergents. Well petrol don't contribute for fuel system cleaning and we need some products like liqui moly and brands do this job better. I hope u got it, sir 🙏🙏😊😊

Sir, I use Iftex System D in my Mahindra Thar CRDe... An old school common rail engine. I can definitely tell you that the additive actually increase performance, reduce vibration and noise of the engine. Not only this, let me tell you another funny experience. I am a farmer and I had a VST power tiller... A diesel operated 13 hp engine. I tried System D in that engine too.. the operator told me that the power of the engine has increased. I have tried the additive in tractors also. It definitely makes a difference. I can assure you sir.

I beg to differ sir...our brand new bolero was emitting black smoke even under moderate acceleration right from the day of purchase...used a famous company fuel system cleaner but did not help much...researched it a lot and got to know that in my case it must be clogged injectors..(manufacturing date was almost one year before the purchase date and these idle times must have aided the clogging)...one day as i was browsing through amazon i came upon another such additive with very very good reviews...bought tht one without much hope but the results were outstanding n that too after a short trip of 90 kms...not only the black smoke was gone 85-90% the low end torque also improved(normalised to be precise) alongwith accelaration...i no longer need to press the accelarator in third or fourth to keep the car going.....my father who had no idea that i used the additive noticed a change in the engine sound(he dsnt drive it...prefers the zen)...all these things cant be just 'feel karaate hain' type placebo effect...at least not the black smoke reduction cuz even after driving more than 4-5k kms after the additive, the problem hasnt returned...so all i would say is, it depends on the problem, the car, the type of additive...we cannot generalize that such things dont work...fuels may have detergents already added to them but when lots of clothes need to be washed, five teaspoon of surf excel must work better than half a teaspoon... And as far as the brands of additives that i used are concerned, i will not name them because i have observed that different people with different cars with different issues get different results with different additives...

Yeah true... I have i20 sportz diesel i addded diesel additives. Result is : Vibration reduces not much but you can say that upto 10 percent... Second main thing is performance increases upto 15%.. You can feel it.

You need to be beware of Engine Oil Additives only. Fuel Additives of good quality give the benefit of keeping the whole fuel system clean. I would go with fuel additives available at company petrol pumps and have their brand logo (marketed by). You must understand that for example Adon Brand additive available at the IO pumps, open up the company to liability if anybody proves that the Adon Additive is harmfuel to the fuel lines and engine. It is also interesting to note that none of the fuel pumps sell Engine Oil Additive because its that what can be actually dangerous. A company putting its reputation behind that too a Public Sector Undertaking like IOC, HP means it has done due diligence. Further, as u rightly say...there are additives already in petrol and diesel. However they are the Basic Minimum Prescribed level, not the optimum level (Optimum level would be equivalent to Tier One Gasoline in USA eg Chevron Techron Gasoline). I have liked your car videos which stick to things other than chemistry and engine and transmission technology from mechanical engineering POV. Regards.

Actually today we are using bs6 emission petrol or desiel where lubrication is less in fuel. As we are using ethenol in it. I think u need to research more about it. May be you are right but after research u might change your opinion. Most of old engines need lubrication which bs6 not providing.

MY PERSONAL CASE EXPERIENCE: mera bike (Hero Xtreme Sports 2014 model) me 14,000 km ke around "Automatically chalte chalte band hone" ki problem face karraha tha. Service center me bola geya "Bike ka VALVES bait geya hay". Near Future me Engine ki DE CARBONATION karana padega & abhi ke liye wo problem ko solve karke de rehe hain. 1.5-2 months bad in the middle of the road phir se wohi problem aya. Mere uncle ne mujhe pumps me milne wali Additive ko use karne ke liye kaha. Maine uske badle PRIMIUM PETROL ko dalwaya. & PROBLEM SOLVED ONCE & FOR ALL. To mere samaj me jo aya - Engine ke cam shaft head & VALVES me carbon diposit build up hote hain & un build ups ko remove karne ke liye & comparatively smoother throttle response ke liye fuel additives really really useful hain. Petrol engines ke liye to Premium Petrols hote hain jinme wo cleaning agents hote hain but Diesel Engine ke liye to koi option nehi hain to Diesel Engine ke liye additives sachme very useful hay.

Additive petrol dalwaane se khaas fayda nahi hota. Normal petrol better hai. Sirf maintenance par dhyaan dena, mileage apne aap increase ho jaega. Agar air filter clean ke baad bhi low rpm me throttle response me delay aa rha hai, toh samajh jana ki valves, piston me deposit aa gaye hai. Inko remove karne ke liye running engine par throttle body cleaning karna padta hai. Uske baad kaafi improvement ho jata hai. Waise 20000 km me ek baar fuel system cleaner, normal petrol ke saath use karne par injector aur baaki area, jaha petrol flow hota hai, clean rehta hai.

If you simply add injector cleaners without changing old dirty fuel filter, it will result opposite as all the dirt from fuel filter will get dissolved and reach injectors. The chemicals in cleaners get used in filter dirt and hence as it reaches injectors it has no cleaning effect instead it makes the injectors dirty. So it would be good practice if fuel tank is clean and fuel filter is new before adding injector cleaners.

Nobdy kws these work or not but many reputed mechanics here showed that they help in cleaning and they showed by opening the engine block and injectors.... Also, if fuel is pure then what amit ji is saying is correct but with widespread adulteration in fuel, engine knocking, reduced pickup happens and then such products helps

There are a lot of additives and cleaning, flush agents, dealers in this comment section. 😁 If people are asking for engine oil flush, there's no need for it, because nowadays fully synthetic engine oil have the lubrication and detergent properties in it, that's why it's called synthetic, synthetic stands for not raw or natural like mineral oil but it is prepared after a lot of research and development by engineers and scientists to protect your engine from wear and tear of the seals, rings and other components inside engine. Change your engine oil filters if required. About injectors and spark plugs, sparks plugs get carbon deposits on it and you should always clean them or get it changed if needed, about injectors, top up your fuel from only good gas stations where you are SURE about the quality of the fuel even if it costs you 2 or 3 rupees more than the others. Also check your fuel oil filter for any dirt trapped in it, clean it if possible or replace it with a new one on every service intervals or every year.

@@srikanthragula205 bro I have personally experienced with liqui moly diesel additive, honestly speaking i didn't find any changes, but yes abro and STP are too good compare to liqui moly diesel additive, both are best. If you have serious problem with injectors,then go with Liqui moly purge though it is expensive, but it will save alot of money.

Have you ever tried an additive? Good additives like xado or liquimoly or stanadyne (best) make a good difference, not at all a placebo effect. The issue in India is adulterated fuel and good additives slightly compensates that. I always use Shell normal diesel and even with that LM shows a good difference. Also it can clean the injector tips to an extend. However continuous use of any additive is not recommended too. Btw, video says it changes the sensor readings? Hope you are aware of how an additive work. Also I saw one of this guys video recommending engine decarbonization which is one of the worst things that you can do to any modern engine!!! Please check the facts before spreading wrong info.

Using diesel additives smoothens the engine. Since i have an older model car with mechanical pump it means a lot to add lubricant since bs6 diesel is ulsd
