Easily the best song from that album in my opinion. I've seen Fugazi live 3 times, but still regret not seeing them play this song live.
@vagaboots5 жыл бұрын
Almost 20 years have passed and this song still burns like acid on a open wound. I remember the day I went to pick up the record, as soon as it hit the shelves of my fav record store (remember those? God, I am turning into an old fart). Sometimes I think Fugazi haven't released any new music ever since because they may feel that they won't be able to match what they produced up to the Argument. Ian, I know you used to say "we owe you nothing" but, if you read this, please grace us with another record. Lots of kids who are now grown-ups who have been aching for some new music from you.

This is real post-Hardcore
@ponchoonchmoncho36915 жыл бұрын
Definitely. No doubt about it. I feel like "post-hardcore", is just one of the MANY genre labels that have been misused, over used, misunderstood, and that have had the true meaning lost over the years. As well as emo, metalcore, and indie rock or indie music.
@nickn27945 жыл бұрын
@Brad Viviviyal their music is hardcore punk, but with post-punk, noise rock and possibly math rock influences, they also had post-rock influences (like Slint), if they sound similar to Ramones or DK to you, I think you might probably need to check your ears.

Ditto. Isn't that the truth lol Pretty much the motto and most prevalent over lying theme that has been present as a consistent constant throughout the majority of my life. I've honestly felt this way about myself ever since I was about 11 or 12 years old. I suppose that's a little bit sad as a concept, but to be honest in my opinion, I really do find a content sort of somber comfort in knowing my life's been like that and in knowing that I've just always been a "work in progress". There's just something truly raw and pure about that thought being such a large part of my life and in being such a great description of my life and in how I've lived it thus far.

It's so lame that these guys didn't like continue their careers with this band man. I understand fully the type of guys that Ian and Guy both are, so I suppose I totally do understand why they would want to maybe just like take a break from Fugazi and focus on/pursue some other different musical and creative endeavors. That they probably WOULDN'T want this band to get like too "big" or to gain too much "influence" etc. I get it I guess, I do...but, that being said, I still do think that it'd be cool if maybe just like once or twice every couple of years since they went on this "hiatus" if they would come together to go on a little mini tour or even just play literally a few shows over the course of a weekend or just SOMETHING along those lines, ya know?? Idk. Mainly I think that I'm really just sad, bitter, and DEFINITELY jealous that I never got to see them perform live and see the legendary live shows that they were so well known for putting on. Born just a bit too late man. Just a decade or so too young. Lame. Oh well though, I guess at the end of the day I am still just super grateful to at least live in the age of the internet where I can listen to ALL of their music and learn about them and see footage from some of their live performances etc. I suppose that's good enough for now....but STILL lol...Fugazi reunion tour/show!!! PLEASE IAN!!!
