Probably they chose to use war weapons but Lianshi's crossbow got replaced and fans were allowed to stay, probably due to Zhuge Liang's signature weapon.

I quite disagree the gameplay and storytelling was better but there are some story decisions I disagree with mainly due to what was introduced in 7 & 8. The voice acting isn't bad and there are many that I place as good or great.

the purpose of posting that vid was to show how unfitting the voice acting is in this game after dw8, i mean in dw8 every character voice was unique like lu bu, xiahou dun, and now, its just pathetic, i suggest to play it in chinese or japanese dub, it should way better in those two languages

I understand the Change was needed to fit, but most of the characters now are copy paste weapons, just like the Original Dynasty Warriors. Some unique others what the hell. I also understand they wanted to make the weapons more realistic, but some of the weapons they really could have brought back. Sun's Tongfa, Zhang He Claws, Sima Yi Horse Hair Whip, Wen Yang's The Javelin, etc. The Voice actors do not fit either, I don't know what they were thinking casting them. I have been a fan since the first Dynasty Warriors and I do like the change up throughout the years. But with these changes, no thank you. I'll Stay with Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires and XL.

Kendall Fields through out the entire series, Zhuge Liang has always been calm and quiet like his character being a stradegist and all. Now he sounds very hyper, or wild. If he was younger that may have made more sense.

Kendall Fields Xun Yu is supposed to sound calm and calculating, soft spoken, like he is hiding something. His English VA sounds like he should be voicing Dian Wei or Lu Bu...one of many mismatched voices. Id also like to add that “professional” actors/actresses should do everything they can to portray a role as if it is natural, not forced, and yet not a single one of these voices sound natural, you can tell it’s just some low budget “actor” doing a terrible voice impression of a battle hardened Warrior or sickly old man. How anyone can listen to these and not cringe is beyond me.
