The Brits have a very good world-class pianist in Grosvenor. He is emotionless but able to show the splendid beauty of art. He refrains from wearing emotions on his sleeve but does get at the essence of art.

The fact that he doesn't bang his head against the piano nor make weird faces doesn't mean he is emotionless. He is a breath of fresh air!!! Very good musician and pianist !! Keep it up, Benjamin !!

It’s not so hard to edit the video’s title and content with the composer’s name…honestly.

Who is the composer? Bach? His works have no opus numbers, but Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis, BWV numbers, and in spite of the pure polyphonic texture of this piece, it’s not Bach’s style. If not Bach, then who composed such a clear polyphonic work? This is not a classical era composition, maybe the 19th century romantic era? Mendelssohn and Schumann were the only romantic era composers not to abandon polyphonic music in the era of homophonic music.

It is difficult to believe that this sound emanates from this ancient Bluethner in that room. What overdubbing has been applied here?
@maxrey4055

Yes, it's a Hamburg D. Recording studios where this was taped confirmed that they only shot the video.

@@maxrey4055 Sounds about right. I've played this particular Blüthner, in this room, many times and I don't recognise the sound in this recording, for sure.

@@rich8037 Makes one wonder, why this complicated arrangement was chosen. Why not show the guy strutting his turbospeed stuff on the Steinway D? Even though I might have liked to hear what the Bluethner sounds like- in a talented pianist's hands :)

What year or size is this instrument ? Style XI 270 or Model 2 280

I'll answer my own question. After investigation the video is a Style XI but the sound is a Hamburg D

Excellent performance, but camerawork was a bit shaky, and a bit of sound distortion, especially in the forte and fortissimo sections.

That is absolutely not the sound of an old Bluthner. The sound has been recorded on another piano and dubbed over the video.
