Thanks for your kind comments.. I like to use manual mode. Iso low as possible(never above 400 with this camera) shutter speed varies (try to keep as fast as possible) and WB is set to auto.. there are a lot more pics at the flickr link in my description..

Reall nice work.. I shoot constantly with it and love it. I find that when we love photography we transcend bickering about stats and enjoy overcoming limitations. The camera has soul and so do your pictures. A very freeing camera.

I have been thinking on the X-S1 for bird photography. Now I have seen these I think my mind is made up, but I will need to relearn a lot I forgot from my slr days to get back to manual. DSLR to heavy for me these days. Beautiful photos. Thank you

Dont kid yourself ... the xs1 is a bigger camera body wise than most aps slr cameras and heavier too.... that being said, yes, its a perfect all in one solution

I've just checked out your flickr link above. I have been considering buying the XS 1 now that the price has dropped significantly, but after reading and watching several reviews I still wasn't sure. After looking at your album my mind is made up. Anyone who says you can't get good results with a bridge camera is delusional. The pictures speak for themselves. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I love your pics, saw some on Flicker also, I just bough this camera and was trying to decide if I should return it for a T3i. I am having a hard time getting pics in the house with movement and bought it in hopes to finally get a few good shots of my son wrestling. I also think I may have a sensor with the orb problem. Do you use a tripod for you pics? They are so sharp and detailed. My favorites of the samples of the X-S1
