Fuji's $800 camera is INCREDIBLE in 2024

I just bought one in late October 2024. I had the XT5. Nobody talks about the slow buffer on it. Went to the XH2s. I never used 4k120p and I deliver 1080p to my clients. Looking forward to the XT3 in 2025!

Literally bought one of these to hike the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island a few weeks back. What a camera. Love the footage and images I got out of it. Great back up for my A7III and a great B cam for any of my videos.

fun fact i payed for my xt3 800 usd 3 years ago! its crazy that is holgind its value, i upgrad to the hx2s for video for 1600 used, its insane the value that fuji gives you for the money

Bought the X-T3 in January. Besides the 2 extra batteries I was forced to buy, its a perfect camera for shooting photos. Bought it almost new for 990€ with the 18-55. Almost 1 year later, I realised it was a great deal.

That’s the positive side of the fast product lifecycle, quick “commercial obsolescence” but good value for money buying used. You buy what you can afford, as long as it doesn’t die your old camera is as good as it was on release.

if the camera is put into movie optimized control (i believe that's what it's called) you can have setting different than the dials and these setting (on screen) will be saved. I got rid of my xt-3 but I do miss it.

Love it - i do use my X-T3 as my second body at work - it is an really great quality camera. I also use my X-T2 with and old Canon FD 28mm 2.8 as a full manual/bw cam - love that combo. The X-T3 was one of the first with 4K 60 and 10 bit when i remember correct. Great Video

This sensor plus the new processor equals the XS20. It's a little powerhouse. The previous ten 24mp sensor and that 26mp sensor are favorites of mine. Also, I am fairly Sure that the fuji had C4K early, if not first out the competition. Cheers man!

I'm pretty late on this, but you said there isn't a way to switch between photo and video easily and needed to change your settings each time. That isn't true, you can lock settings in using the optimised movie control. It's literally as good as the X-T4 and X-T5 in that sense! I actually downgraded to the X-T3 and it's been my favourite Fuji for many reasons!

Xt3 has 4k60, touchscreen, usable af, better battery life, xtrans. But i guess if you dont care, the xt1 is "better" due to not a lot of people having it anymore

The XT3 launched a year and a half after the GH5, so definitely not the first to do 4k60p, but probably the first to do 4k60p 10bit internally. The GH5 could only do 4k60p at 8 bit internally and needed an external recorder to do 10 bit at 60p. If the XT3 had IBIS, it would have probably blown away the GH5. BTW, what camera did you shoot your talking portions on? The AF is very iffy.

Xt5 is 1800$, does worse 4k with also worse lowlight performance, xt5 is more of a photog's camera. That 1000$ diff means a 17-70 2.8 + a 35 f2 ( either xc or xf ) - assuming you dont get the 18-55 bundled in, and if you did its a 30f1.4 + 56f1.4 + 16f1.4, in no situation does the xt5 wins
