@@VietinghoffAlex thanks Alex. Very surprised by how decent the AF is. I usually use centre focus to make sure I get what I need in focus but yes, solid & well built lenses.

Top built quality, lightweight and nice color rendering and Bokeh. Nothing seems to be missing.... I will give them a try😎👍
@AltCine19 күн бұрын
@@fauland_photography yeah nothing to complain about really, quite nice, sharp and as you said "nice colour rendering". Using the kit lens was ok when I first got it but using the 35mm and XM5 on that short made me realise that this camera is dark horse.

thanks for this. especially the emphasis on low light. my preferred shooting setting
@AltCine17 күн бұрын
@@samwo-life thanks for leaving a comment. Yes lowlight is a priority as you don't want to get caught out. I think crop sensor cameras are generally frowned upon because of lowlight but a couple fast lenses will do wonders when you can't setup lights.

Hi there, nice video. I owned the Brightin Star 35mm f/0.95 lens, want to ask whether your copy will overshoot the focus upon infinity? Mine with the focus ring that can be turned beyond infinity makes the photo from infinity in focus become blurry outfocus if I accidentally turned/bumped the focus ring. For me it’s kinda of a bummer as I need to put down my camera and make sure it’s pointing to the “right” infinity measurement instead of overturned to blurry image which sometimes makes the capture moment past…😢

Hey. Great video. Thank you! I also own the 35mm lens and it is really a good. The build quality for this price is top. One question: which lens would you recommend for best stabilized footage for the x-m5?
@AltCine19 күн бұрын
@@erik6678 yeah definitely a great lens, even at high iso you can get a pretty clean image. So far I've only tested these 2 lenses, the kit 15-45 and just bought an ef speedbooster so it's difficult for me to comment on that. I am meeting a friend next week who's letting me try a few stabilised lenses and I'll definitely let you know my findings. I definitely need a good fast stabilised lens for travel so it's a high priority.
@erik667819 күн бұрын
@AltCine thank you. Really looking forward for that. Of course a gimbal is the best solution. But when you travel light it is not practible. I already tried the old 18-55 2.8-4 and at 18mm it makes a good job. The viltrox 13mm 1.4 also seems to be very good (although it is not stabilized).

Amazing video as always!❤ i wanted to ask you something. A while back ago you did a video on BFA and improving their short film. I have to say watching that video made me feel I've learnt so much from that as supposed to any other video or film school and I subscribed your channel in a heartbeat. Can you please include that type of content as it may help aspiring filmmakers like me to understand the craft better?
@AltCine18 күн бұрын
@@paraskinger6828 thank you so much. It's funny you should mention that. The next video is about lighting & grading from a very basic perspective on how to get cinematic images in very basic locations. Should be dropping in a few days.

@IngweMutliMediaProductions yeah man, everyone always does those pixel peeping tests but most of us would never notice.
