It is really good for filming bcoz im doing filming with my HS50 and nothing can replace this..... Stabilizer is super excellent

Only reason I would get this camera would be because of the Zoom, A lens that zooms 1000 mm would cost around 10g on my Nikon. Raw shooting is great too, especially when it comes to light room you can actually get decent photos editing them.

Low ISO, good or ordinary lighting conditions and good lense can produce quality pictures without noise, not only with an FFF HS50Exr but with any GOOD point and shoot camera. If you don't have money to buy good lenses but you want to use some settings that you can only find in DSLR's, stay with a bridge camera, if you have money to invest for lenses buy a DSLR. I remind you, though, that some lenses cost the same price as this camera.

with 1000mm DSRs lenses will never work like fujiHS50's Stabilizer that's the problem.

That's just my personal experience, I am not trying to hate on anyone or anything. I had a Fuji camera about 5 years ago that I loved, but I guess what I am saying is that even though this Fuji is a good camera for it's price, for my purposes, it wasn't worth it. I bought the Fuji at Costco around the same time I had also purchased an iPhone 5 and I was really shocked at how good the iPhone camera was. It actually filled the spot I needed for a decent multi-purpose non DSLR camera.

nice review, I use this camera for my wildlife work, (hobby) in this capacity I find it excellent! it is easily portable and has a long reach, you don't need to carry a DSLR with a yard long lens, (FOR MY PERSONNAL REQUIREMENTS) , the lens is pin sharp at both ends of its zoom range, it produces "zero faf" excellent jpegs for my bird watching.

THIS IS THE BEST BRIDGE CAMERA I HAVE EVER USED. ITS LOW ISO SETTING ALLOWS YOU TO TAKE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES IN EVEN DIM LIGHT WITHOUT THE NOISE, A GREAT WELL BUILT CAMERA TO BUY IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.

Believe it or not it's not that small of a target audience. People that want something simple that doesn't make you manually set everything and that is higher end than small pocket cameras but still needs a nice camera for less than a DSLR.

Photo quality is awesome but when shooting video, you need a lot of light or it's constantly refocusing and ruining your video.

You have to put the camera at manual focus while shooting video. Also you can use a movie rig where u can get a follow focus ring for filming

iPhone pictures appear nice on phone. Put them on the screen and compare and you will find the difference. It's not DSLR so don't expect DSLR quality.

I bought this but honestly my iPhone 5 took clearer pictures with less noise. I was very disappointed. I guess I will have to save up for a DSLR.
