I actually prefer the look of the xt3 and the 35f2, as much as I like the x100v, the 35f2 was also one of my all time favourite lenses to shoot with back when I had my xt2. Southbank looks like a great shooting location!
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! That 35mm f2 (and the other f2 Fuji lenses) are like the best value lenses anywhere. Change my mind! Haha. Weather sealing, tiny form factor, fast auto focus, great build quality, beautiful image rendering, affordable.

I love my X-T3 but fancied something more compact. I’ve built up a collection of lenses so it made sense to buy another Fuji body. I got a used X-E2s in mint condition and I absolutely love it. I only use it with my 23mm or 35mm lenses.

The x100v fascinates me quite a bit as a camera but as person who does a lot of hours photographing on the street the EM5 Mark3 won out with what I consider better controls, ibis, much better customization and with something like a equivalent 40mm it’s even smaller. And I’ve been using the 4/3 system for 16 years so it made more sense. Still I may break down day and try one because I’m curious for the experience of why it’s so popular.

I guess it's because it's a fixed lens camera and it does look very nice. I think that's the main appeal of it to be honest. At least for me.
@suyan97334 жыл бұрын
Which camera would you recommend as someone's first camera? I'm leaning towards xt3 because it does videos well too, I feel everything that can be done on the x100v can be done on the xt3, the x100v does have that nice compact form factor and seems fun to shoot with thou. I can't decide...
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
As a first camera? You won't really know what you really need from a camera until you use a camera for a significant amount of time. I used three other cameras for a year and half before I decided on the XT3 and X100V. Having said that, the XT3 would perhaps be a better first camera, since the X100V is quite a niche camera.

Thank you Man! I have a X-T3 and I was looking to replace an old X-T1 as a second camera. I rented a X100V last Saturday for a wedding and I love it! The thing is that now X-T3 is now just $999 and the X100V is $1399. I shoot events and weddings but I'd love to have a small camera las the X100 line. What would you do? Two X-T3 's One X-T3 and One X100v One X-T3 and one used X100F for $650? Thank you!
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
I would go for two XT3s if I were to shoot weddings, for greater flexibility. I got the V for street photography as well, which was another big reason I got it. However, since price seems to be an important factor for you, one XT3 and one X100F would be a killer combo.

X100V for sure. She can do everything with it. As a beginner, she won't think about needing different focal lengths.

Great vid! Let me ask, I spy some blackpromist with the x100v shots, it gives a great effect, very filmic. Did you use it for the xt3 shots too?
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
You, sir, have either been watching my other videos or have a very sharp eye. However, I did have a promist with 18-55mm on the XT3 for the B-roll shots. No filter on the 35mm f2. Filter on the X100V. Glad you enjoyed the video.
@cfordnathan4 жыл бұрын
Zain Riza, thats what I was thinking, I have seen your other vids and yes, now that I know what blackpromist (or the other diffusion filters look like) I know what to look for, but it’s a great look, it takes the clinical clarity and punch out of some of the values and makes the image more film like, more organic, in a way that a film simulation can’t do. Reason I asked is because some of the xt3 shots were more clinically graded, more contrasty, less organic, comparatively, but that could have been the different film simulation also. Anyhow, keep up the good work bro!

But wouldnt jpeg make your image colours look more dull, so in a sense its not the camera that has this effect but the fact that its saved as jpeg
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
Umm not sure what you mean, but jpegs don't inherently make the colours duller. If the colours in your jpegs look dull then you should try a different recipe or shoot raw and boost the colours in post.

Loved this video! As an XT4 owner, I was wondering how the 100V would fit in as a B camera and light-er EDC camera! Nice job!
@ZainRiza4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Brandon! Not sure how well it would do shooting long clips, because of the alleged overheating issues in 4K. When I use the V for video, it's always just 5-10 sec clips, so it's never been a problem. 100% it could be a B camera/ EDC. That's exactly what I've been using it for for the past 3 months.

@@ZainRiza I am just trying to give you positive criticism, instead of saying "how great your work is" or "wow great work with those cameras", I am saying sell that camera because it is not any benefit to you. There is not one image which you have shown in your videos which that camera excels at. like if your shooting a portraits , why is her foot highlighted in the foreground, distractions in the back ground...do you understand what I am writing. (Man or woman, the focus is on that persons personally and charter, a point of beauty or strength.) You have a future in photography, as I spent 40yrs myself. Your image is a view through your eye to your soul and success which I believe you have looking at your other work.

Don’t sell your V... keep them both. Maybe go get an x-pro also. You can obviously shoot multiple cameras. I’m just starting some film on a Canon QL and you had some sweet portra 160 on another video. Keep up the good work on whatever camera feel right for the day.
