Great video Matt! Did you shoot with F-log or HLG?
@MattBrandon4 жыл бұрын
You are taxing my memories, here. I know it was not F-Log because I have only just started shooting F-Log recently. I believe it was shot in standard film simulation.

Thanks for sharing the video. The colors are nice but the dynamic range seems pretty bad as I can see. The sky and all highlights are blown out... can you confirm this from the original material?
@tcrproductions75086 жыл бұрын
I was going to say the same thing. My X-T3 is arriving this Friday and I'm hoping this is just a correction/grading problem, or just an error pushing it too far to the right.
@JasonSmith-dd2ms6 жыл бұрын
I wonder if it's a lack of ND filter?
@jkkarthik61706 жыл бұрын
You need to watch it in a HDR monitor. Works great on my HDR TV but on my SDR monitor it is blown out as well.

what lens were you using for this Matt?

If I recall, the 50-140mm f/2.8 and the new 8-16mm f/2.8. I think that was it.

I am an x-photographer for Fujifilm Malaysia. So we get gear in advance sometimes. As for collaboration what do you have in mind?

Do you have any extra footage you've shot with the X-T3? We could do a review video where we mostly talk specs and show how to do post work with the footage? Did you shoot any LOG?
@43connor36 жыл бұрын
I think that this is fake, inter frame blending is used for a "fake" slow motion effect.
@MattBrandon6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call it fake. I wasn't and still not trying to pull something over on you. But I was concerned after your comment. I did use Optical Flow and there was no need to do so. I am a professional still shooter that is still learning the ropes in video and in particular Final Cut Pro X. For this test, I researched how to show slow motion using a footage shot at 60p. Several people, not just one gave this workflow: Shoot it as 60p then make a project that is 24p. Then import the video. Then hit the auto adjust speed and it slows it down to 24p. Then every video I watched said you need to add Optical Flow. Which now, after asking around on the Facebook FCPX User group I found I didn't need to do. My apologies. So I reloaded a new version all shot and edited the same way without Optical Flow added. You will find it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3asmJalha6Yb7c It does look better without it!

Matt Brandon its very strange for a random person on the internet to get ahold of a camera the day of the launch. And for a “professional shooter” to not know how to throw in slow motion. Hmm
@GeorgeNeill6 жыл бұрын
It may be strange for you, but it's not strange for Fuji who knows Matt to be an accomplished photographer who only dabbles in video. His strength is in stills which is why he's a Fuji X photographer. Matt has acknowledged his technique for this video and adjusted it based on input form some video friends. But, for you to question his integrity when you obviously know nothing about him is disengenuous. And, given that all of your videos have recieved fewer views than this one video suggests that you are more of a random person on the internet than he is.

Matt Brandon Hey Matt..Yes you can shoot 60 fps and conform to a 24fps timeline..This way its smoother..no optical flow needed. Just make sure your shutter is double your frame rate..Good Luck
@joelzar94786 жыл бұрын
i see what you mean, but actually its wrong export from timeline... if he shot 24 instead of 23.98 and exported it wrong youll get this effect

Matt after seeing the SWASTIKA I looked at the video explaining the history of it,But I must tell you it doesn't make it any better for the Jewish people after what happened in world war 2 with the Nazi's.Seeing that sign brings up so much anger.That is not a very good advert for Fuji.
@MattBrandon6 жыл бұрын
Avi, Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Try also to understand that as hard as this symbol is for the Jewish people, it has profound meanings for Hindu and Buddhist around the globe and certainly here in Asia. The symbol is everywhere here. There is even a huge building in Penang called the Red Swastika Society with a massive red swastika emblazoned on the front of it! I wasn't trying to do a promotional video. I was documenting a Hindu worship ceremony next to a Taoist temple. The reality is even if we tried, we can't change the symbols and worship practices of a billion people and 12000 years of heritage. So do we try to crop it out of the frame or educate people about the world's religions and practices of faiths? But, with that said, I do appreciate your spirit and legacy, and I certainly never intended it to be hurtful.

The Swastika is an ancient Hindu and Buddhist religious symbol that pre-dates Hitler. Hitler only appropriated an existing symbol. In this video's context, it in no way related to the Nazi's.

@MattBrandon6 жыл бұрын
The swastika predates Hitler and the Nazi party by about 12,000 years! It is both a Hindu and a Buddhist symbol. This is a Hindu priest performing Pujah a form of worship to the god Ganesh. If you spend any time at all in cultures that are home to Hindus and Buddhists you will see the symbol everywhere. It is hard to miss. There is nothing evil or terrible about the swastika in this form. Maybe watch this link video you help you understand it's meanings in so many different cultures. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJK3fHaKe7yCmJI

Another difference which you might have not noticed that Our Swastik is clockwise unlike the Nazi one, infact - its a saying in our culture that we should never draw the Swastik wrong or we will be evil like the Nazi's.

Matt Hindus and Buddhists is a hidden occultism with satanism where people prays to demons (thousands of gods that do not exist because this are fallen angels - the Bible warns against this). There is only one God and God is Love. These religions teach to be free, you have to get rid of everything = ALSO LOVE and this is WRONG (false religion) man was created out of love and to love (a man without love is not happy). When the Nazis opened to this satanic occlutism, they began to murder millions of people. This symbol is very , very , very bad. You are nice person but don't promote bad symbols because people can start think that this is something ok or good. In the meantime i wish you all the best and God Bless you.
