Not really it just looks really good compared to the dog water slide show that was the rest of the fight, it was smooth but in terms of fluidity and choreography that show is severely lacking, I’d recommend fog hill of 5 elements for some recent and amazing animated fighting.

No it wouldn't. Garouden is far too grounded to be anything like Kengan Ashura... Garouden is a very traditional, by the books rendition of a martial arts story. Meanwhile in kengan ashura people be having literal transformations and doing physically impossible things.

@@guts7958 Yes!! Baki has too much muscle (sorry Baki) but the plot is good. You can binge it easily. Kengan is like the middle child, trying out 3D stuff (Baki did it but failed) and looked good. Garouden lacks Itagaki style which a lot of people complained but I like it. And the plot is pretty bad, it's like watching a documentary about martial arts/slice of life kind of show.

Internet kind of undersold me this series. And I was ok with it because after a while I really thought it was just another Baki/kengan wanna be, as in, at the given point the fights go beyond ludicrous in techniques and abilities. But this was actually quite a solid choreo. Not really hard core but pretty neat.

I keep seeing a lot of comments talking about this as realistic fighting but this is very similar to baki where it's blown WAY out of proportion. The guy fights a bear episode one guys. They use real techniques and you can see the technique much more clearly, and they strategize but this isn't realistic. They're just much more focused on actually showing martial arts in the fights unlike a lot of shows that are just saying anything at all.

Seriously this slowness.. what happened to choreography? Even in live action films nowadays things are slowing down! Motion Capture, Choreography can be good! Can be fast and intense! And the music feels like it wanted that but, this is so sluggish! I really hope this isn’t carried over to Baki Dou. I get realism, but even reality is faster! Or maybe… the movement doesn’t fit the characters? Because if it was motion captured… and from what the shorts Netflix showed… hmm maybe that’s it 🤔 just looks wrong. Edit: 2 weeks later and I’m in love with this show, I should’ve just shut up and watched in the first place! It’s my process!😂
