Greetings. I just recently received my African ancestry DNA results and it says that on my mother's side I have a 99.7 percent match with the fulani tribe in mali. I absolutely love the names that you shared and I was wondering what are some last names of the Fulani because I have always felt branded with my slave name and I was waiting for the DNA results so I can change it. I want to get rid of my last name which is Johnson and replace it with a fulani last name. Please help me with this by sharing some last names. Thank you.✊🏾🖤
Hello Souley! Can you do a video about compliments in fulani? For example, how do I tell someone "You're beautiful"

Thanks for the information. Is better to talk how all the different Fulani sects can unite instead of this divisive naming. Because like many other communities, the Fulanies falls in to three categories. The native group ( both parents are fulany). The Maties one parent is a Fulani and the is not. And the naturalized Fulani both parents are not Fulanies but have a blood line and have been transformed due to co habitation.

There was no match among the Fulani names you discussed and the Oromo names in Ethiopia. May be it need an assessment. However, among the names you discussed yeroo is time, takko/ tokko is one, Barke is used as name and we use lookoo instead of lobbo. The name of my grandfather is saddoo which is very close to saajo. The Muslim Oromos mostly use Quranic name.
