I think Liu Yuning does an excellent job portraying his character. His acting skills have improved and he is multi talented in singing and acting. I see a bright future for him in acting WuXia characters. I think he would play a Immortal Character very well too, like a Taoist Master relationship with his student. He has beautiful voice, and his smile is very sweet. I dont understand why some people criticize him for his eyes as not being attractive. He exudes so much charm and is very attractive. It has nothing to do with one body part, so those people arr quite shallow and just insecure about their own body parts not meeting the beauty myth. How boring life would be if everyone's beauty looked exactly the same.

Its easy to throw dirt on others, if these people are so skillful why don't they act and show there skills instead of judging the actor. In regards to looks he is handsome and elegant.

Unlike many other dramas where a female is disguised as a male, the princess in this drama does a very convincing job in playing the role of the male prince. I am enjoying this drama immensely and savouring every episode. All the actors are attractive and well-cast in their roles. Lots of eye candy and humorous as well as serious moments. Costumes, the fight scenes and cinematography are great too! You will not regret spending time with these characters. Enjoy!

Liu Yuning, love this male character, very handsome and masculine manly look, love his sexy walk, he is not a feminine male character that overruns the Chinese movies, thank goodness. I love the whole crew with their different personalities that really make this one of the best movies in 2023. Wish there could be a season 2 but they kill all the best characters, what a bummer. Seeing all the actors in season 2 would have been nice.

This is a great show and the reasons why I love this drama: - Lead female is a badass. In a lot of shows/movies I've seen, they're portrayed as such in the beginning, but the moment the male lead steps in the female lead usually becomes and stays a damsel in distress like in The Long Ballad. So I'm glad that didn't happen here. Ruyi was great. - Princess Yang Ying's character development. Loved how much she developed as a character throughout the show and I think her journey was my favorite out of all the characters. - The shade of red. There's something about the shade of red that was used in the show that was just absolutely gorgeous and the way it worked with other colors around it. The costume designers really knew what they were doing.

the female lead is the one carrying the movie, follow by the princess, then the second male lead although after a while, he is too much of a clown and too mature looking for a clown character, although he is wise, and he does come across wise, he has an intelligent looks... but the main male lead is the weakest acting, his acting is good but he's the weakest of the four. He has dull, uninteresting interactions most of the time, a few scenes he's more dramatic. The movie really plays up the romantic music nice and loud too, to make the audience feel the romantic mood, otherwise, it's one sided romance from the female lead.

This is a great example of a great drama. The ML and FL work to solve problems they face instead of fighting among themselves because of jealousy, multiple lovers (especially those chasing after the FL). The ML and FL love and help each other. This makes the story much more interesting.

@@agustina6608 No. In chinese historical dramas almost every voice is dubbed.The directors don’t use the real voice of the artists. Because in historical dramas directors need very clear voice with the proper ancient chinese accent and words. But as the artists are from different corner of china mostly, so they have different accent than the proper ancient one. That's why you can see that all the male or female voice from any historical costume dramas sound the same. For example delireba dilmurat has a very thin voice but in dramas you can see It's very deep. There are some specific voice artists who always dub in chinese dramas.But some artists do give their voices but the number is very low.

Well i was hesitant to start watching it or not for a long time, mostely because I love scripts where Female lead is a strong character with powers or martial arts. I love many wuxia like Word of Honor, Mysterious Lotus Casebook, My Jorney to You, Who rules the World, The Blood of Youth. and many more. I believe that this one i could like as script but somehow the cinematography is a bit strange for me. The way its cut and how they change scenes is sharp and fast, like documentary or something. It makes me a bit dizzy on some moments. And I never had such feeling not from other wuxia not from games like never. :) 🌸

A Journey to Love is the first drama that grabbed my attention right off the bat, only 10 min in, probably when Cecilia Liu suddenly turned into a female fatale. I was absolutely mesmerized by her cold heartless aura/charisma and her contradictory kindness. She was definitely the attention grabber to pull you in the drama. But as I watch everyone in the gang has their moment of jokes, character quirkiness, cool fights, and suddenly I realize I'm watching THEIR journey, their story, not just Ren Ruyi and Ning yuanzhou's romance. It's everyone's story: Ren ruyi, Ning yuanzhou, yu shisan, qian zhou, sun lang, yang ying, minister Du, yuan Lu, and so many others. It's a journey in which we come to fall in love with them the gang as they do among themselves (coming to understand and care for each other). Even though I was spoiled of the ending, I will continue to watch this drama till the end, I want to see and accompany them on this journey even if what's at the end is death. That's the kind of story this drama is. It's one that makes you feel like you're in the boat with them and whether it floats or sinks you want to see it till ends. Truly a journey to love. Definitely a must watch. The experience was phenomenal

Then I got confused because I thought this was My Journey To You until I had another look at the title. They have a similar title and came out same year and almost the same theme. This Drama is giving! On to the 14th Episode. The Swordmanship and stunts (whether it’s with a Body double or not) are so good. The Character development of each role speaks well of the work put into the production of this drama. The visuals are amazing. The Storyline is good and well understood. 非常好看的武侠剧，都是我喜欢的演员，有些并非一线明星，但绝对演技派，有些也就出现几个场面，但是个个演技不俗。剧情也非常有趣，武打的场面拍的非常好，刘诗诗和刘宇宁骑马和空中反转，尤其是诗诗和那个姓越的同门绝杀的那个最后一幕，在空中飞跃的打斗的动作，两个人的出手的动作都非常漂亮，还有每一个空中飞跃的动作都是那么优美和惊艳，虽然有电脑合成的场面，但是处理的非常连贯和流畅，让人过目难忘，诗诗武打出手的动作娴熟，优美流畅，可以和当年林青霞张曼玉当时的新龙门客栈的场面相媲美，女主绝对是敦煌莫高窟里壁画里走出的仙女。除此之外，方逸伦衣袂飘飘，在空中飞跃的那个画面，拍的非常好看。整部剧虽然服饰简单，但是飘逸高雅，颜色淡而不俗，搭配得当，看出剧组的制作的别出心裁，心思巧妙😇😇😇😀😀😀😀😀😍😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘😘😘👏👏👏👏👏这部剧里面所有女演员都非常符合我的审美，美的高雅，清新和不落俗套！😇😇😇😇😇😇😇🤩🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍

This cdrama is worth every minute spent watching. No fast-forwarding, just pure fun, love, romance, great fighting sequences, and yes, lots of sad moments as well, but the script is so well-written that you just kind of accept that it's what it is. It's a very straightforward wuxia story about heroes (and unsung heroes) and people who just end up in a position of heroes because that's what everyone needs them to be. So despite the romance and comedy, some serious stuff is happening and countries need to be saved, and plots need to be plotted. Amazing performance from all the cast, FL and ML are perfect for these roles. It's my first time seeing Liu Yuning act - he's so good! Has both the looks and the acting chops. Liu Shishi is stunning as an assassin, who is slowly learning what it is to love and have a relationship and be with friends. They have great chemistry, not to mention all the brothers from Liudao, I love each and every one of them. Such superbly written and acted characters! The ending is sad, maybe it could have been different, but as a war story, you can expect something like this to happen. But don't let that stop you - the drama is easily one of the best ones ever made in terms of writing, visuals, music, acting, and everything else!

第一集里面的各个角色（无论大小主次）塑造的都很到位。导演和编剧没有忽视任何一个角色，每个角色都给了很好的对白和足量的镜头刻画，演员们（包括群演）也都很棒，每一位都很认真的在演绎角色，没有因为戏少或做背景就敷衍，对得起每一帧镜头和每一句台词。真是个好的电视剧团队。 战场上幸存的萧将军似乎是现实生活中刘宇宁的表演老师，我也是听说的，有人知道吗？

This is my first time watching Liu shishi and I was amazed how her acting was in the drama. Every episode was very entertaining and couldn’t stop watching because there were no fillers or anything that seems unnecessary. In the end it was a heartbreak because it wasn’t a happy ending but not every drama can have a happy ending. I really love everyone chemistry and it felt like everyone was a big family. Even if I don’t win, supporting this drama is an honor! 🎉

What can I say, I was so surprised by the ending that they all died. It is the first drama I have seen that capture my emotions. A strong brotherly love between each and everyone and how to become a good leader. I laughed a lot in the beggining then cried a lot at the end. At first, I struggled to understand the ending. But what they portayed at the end is what happen in the afterlife. I cannot blame the writer for killing most of them because war is always like that and how many herous died in the battle. I really enjoyed the amazing acting of the main lead Liu Yuning and Lui Shishi. Thumbs up from UK

Some ML just look pretty on the screen. But Liu Yuning brings charm, swagger, and wit. He doesn't look like the stereotypical ML action hero, instead, he looks like the ML who always follows his heart, even if it's done in some unconventional ways.
