Unlike many other dramas where a female is disguised as a male, the princess in this drama does a very convincing job in playing the role of the male prince. I am enjoying this drama immensely and savouring every episode. All the actors are attractive and well-cast in their roles. Lots of eye candy and humorous as well as serious moments. Costumes, the fight scenes and cinematography are great too! You will not regret spending time with these characters. Enjoy!

I think Liu Yuning does an excellent job portraying his character. His acting skills have improved and he is multi talented in singing and acting. I see a bright future for him in acting WuXia characters. I think he would play a Immortal Character very well too, like a Taoist Master relationship with his student. He has beautiful voice, and his smile is very sweet. I dont understand why some people criticize him for his eyes as not being attractive. He exudes so much charm and is very attractive. It has nothing to do with one body part, so those people arr quite shallow and just insecure about their own body parts not meeting the beauty myth. How boring life would be if everyone's beauty looked exactly the same.

the female lead is the one carrying the movie, follow by the princess, then the second male lead although after a while, he is too much of a clown and too mature looking for a clown character, although he is wise, and he does come across wise, he has an intelligent looks... but the main male lead is the weakest acting, his acting is good but he's the weakest of the four. He has dull, uninteresting interactions most of the time, a few scenes he's more dramatic. The movie really plays up the romantic music nice and loud too, to make the audience feel the romantic mood, otherwise, it's one sided romance from the female lead.

This is a great example of a great drama. The ML and FL work to solve problems they face instead of fighting among themselves because of jealousy, multiple lovers (especially those chasing after the FL). The ML and FL love and help each other. This makes the story much more interesting.

Well i was hesitant to start watching it or not for a long time, mostely because I love scripts where Female lead is a strong character with powers or martial arts. I love many wuxia like Word of Honor, Mysterious Lotus Casebook, My Jorney to You, Who rules the World, The Blood of Youth. and many more. I believe that this one i could like as script but somehow the cinematography is a bit strange for me. The way its cut and how they change scenes is sharp and fast, like documentary or something. It makes me a bit dizzy on some moments. And I never had such feeling not from other wuxia not from games like never. :) 🌸

This is a great show and the reasons why I love this drama: - Lead female is a badass. In a lot of shows/movies I've seen, they're portrayed as such in the beginning, but the moment the male lead steps in the female lead usually becomes and stays a damsel in distress like in The Long Ballad. So I'm glad that didn't happen here. Ruyi was great. - Princess Yang Ying's character development. Loved how much she developed as a character throughout the show and I think her journey was my favorite out of all the characters. - The shade of red. There's something about the shade of red that was used in the show that was just absolutely gorgeous and the way it worked with other colors around it. The costume designers really knew what they were doing.

Because in historical dramas directors need very clear voice with the proper ancient chinese accent and words. But as the artists are from different corner of china mostly, so they have different accent than the proper ancient one. That's why you can see that all the male or female voice from any historical costume dramas sound the same. For example delireba dilmurat has a very thin voice but in dramas you can see It's very deep. There are some specific voice artists who always dub in chinese dramas.But some artists do give their voices but the number is very low.

A Journey to Love is the first drama that grabbed my attention right off the bat, only 10 min in, probably when Cecilia Liu suddenly turned into a female fatale. I was absolutely mesmerized by her cold heartless aura/charisma and her contradictory kindness. She was definitely the attention grabber to pull you in the drama. But as I watch everyone in the gang has their moment of jokes, character quirkiness, cool fights, and suddenly I realize I'm watching THEIR journey, their story, not just Ren Ruyi and Ning yuanzhou's romance. It's everyone's story: Ren ruyi, Ning yuanzhou, yu shisan, qian zhou, sun lang, yang ying, minister Du, yuan Lu, and so many others. It's a journey in which we come to fall in love with them the gang as they do among themselves (coming to understand and care for each other). Even though I was spoiled of the ending, I will continue to watch this drama till the end, I want to see and accompany them on this journey even if what's at the end is death. That's the kind of story this drama is. It's one that makes you feel like you're in the boat with them and whether it floats or sinks you want to see it till ends. Truly a journey to love. Definitely a must watch. The experience was phenomenal

Then I got confused because I thought this was My Journey To You until I had another look at the title. They have a similar title and came out same year and almost the same theme. This cdrama is worth every minute spent watching. No fast-forwarding, just pure fun, love, romance, great fighting sequences, and yes, lots of sad moments as well, but the script is so well-written that you just kind of accept that it's what it is. It's a very straightforward wuxia story about heroes (and unsung heroes) and people who just end up in a position of heroes because that's what everyone needs them to be. So despite the romance and comedy, some serious stuff is happening and countries need to be saved, and plots need to be plotted. Amazing performance from all the cast, FL and ML are perfect for these roles. It's my first time seeing Liu Yuning act - he's so good! Has both the looks and the acting chops. Liu Shishi is stunning as an assassin, who is slowly learning what it is to love and have a relationship and be with friends. They have great chemistry, not to mention all the brothers from Liudao, I love each and every one of them. Such superbly written and acted characters! The ending is sad, maybe it could have been different, but as a war story, you can expect something like this to happen. But don't let that stop you - the drama is easily one of the best ones ever made in terms of writing, visuals, music, acting, and everything else!

刚看完40集又回来再看一遍。没想到这是我看过最好古装剧。一直很喜欢刘诗诗，这次也第一次认识了刘宇宁，再听到他的歌声，喜欢上刘了，准备再找他的作品看看。

I'm back here , just finished the whole drama. For all those who be thinking twice about watching this drama, think only once. It's been a while since we last got a historical drama with different genres, real action, wuxia, fiction,military and politics. It's worth every minute. The cinematography, the fighting scenes , the Kung Fu was top notch, ooowh, and some of their actions were epic... I won't give a spoiler and tell you future viewers the ending of this drama, I won't say whether the ending was bad or good... but one thing is for sure , some of us would never recover from this drama. Once again,don't think twice, think once , it's worth watching.

This is the most wonderful drama i have watched ❤ I loved liu yuning from the long ballad and since then, i have been wanting to watch him as a male lead and here he is 💜💜💜 He really rocked his character with his handsome features and talented acting. Its my first time watching the female lead but i really love her in this drama, her acting, talented acting and everything about her. Most important thing is i really love every character in this drama I really love them all 💜 Ml, fl, yu, yuan,Qiao,su, jiu and especially the princess❤❤ I really love them all I can recommend this drama to anyone looking for a nice drama, i promise you wont get bored❤❤❤❤❤
