I think a lot was explained in this episode. 1. Ruyi saw the assassins running away in the back so she knew the connection . 2. The empress said the message took 4 days so that means Ruyi & Ning traveled non stop for days to get to the Capital. Great drama 👏👏💖💖 Thanks for Eng subs. ♥️

This was the best c drama I’ve watched . All the actors were great, but the standout was Liu, Yunning ML and his FL. Their love was so mature and solid, without being silly and mushy. Everytime he held her in his arms she looked safe, loved and protected. I don’t think I cried so much watching any other drama. I was bawling almost all the episodes.

For those who are confused about the two decrees: The late emperor let ML to decide which decree he will take to the Cabinet. The first decree is to pass the throne to his brother Prince Danyang, the 2nd decree is to pass the throne to his soon-to-be-born child. With 2 decrees in hand, ML has the power to choose who will become the new emperor. ML heard of the debate in Court between Prince Danyang and the Prime Minister. Prince Danyang wants to fight the intruder, while the prime minister wants to retreat and betray the covenant between Wu and An. ML’s brothers in arms died in the fight against the intruders, plus if Wu betrays the covenant, it will put Princess A Ying who married into An in dangerous circumstances. If the 2nd decree would take effect, the Prime Minister would have the upper hand controlling a new-born baby emperor.
