Good Day is Tyler writing from the perspective of how he would feel in the first week after losing his wife and kid. Like he would just be in such insane denial and pretending like everything is fine. It's such a happy sounding song but behind all that is a super dark reality.

@@kitchensinkchronicles3272 this album sus not just because of the disguise that the 9 songs have (cue the 9 bishops right there) but also because of ty having the colored hair which is unusual and that we're used to see josh with that stuff, another one is the number of tracks, it's only 11 which opposes the usual queue of tracks on each album with 14, and probably because this album has a bright intro which is unlikely to happen. many theorize that we're supposed to listen to it in reverse (as in from redecorate to goody day) feel free to subscribe to vooshoo and jlanderson music to find out more in regards of this album

the title "SCALED AND ICY" is a triple metaphor 1: scaled and icy meaning Tylers description of his creative side, (blue dragon) 2: CLANCY IS DEAD, the same letters rearranged. 3: scaled back and isolated, meaning it was made in his basement during quarantine.

Redecorate is actually a really tragic song inspired by the death of a friends son (who I presume lost his life to suicide but I am not sure). His parents kept his room exactly how it was when he died to sort of memorialize him.

I love seeing your reactions and the way you dissect every lyric! Personally, Redecorate broke me, it made me completely forget that I was vibing with the other songs. I understood it as the struggle of losing a loved one and going thorugh the doubt of "I want to leave everything in its place and remember that person, or start redecorating and try to move on by forgetting it". Besides the line "Make my people do decisions wondering what to do" hit me right in the feels. Hope the next album comes out soon. I'm excited to see where they take this new sound

Tyler Joseph: I had a friend of mine whose son passed away and they would keep his room the same way that he had left it. I remember thinking how crazy powerful a story that is, and how it makes me wonder, like, ‘What will people do with my stuff?’ It can actually bring you back down to earth, make sure that you don’t make any horrible decisions. I’m realizing now how difficult it is to talk about, but this song is really important to me. I love the messaging of it, and I hope that our fans hear what it is I’m trying to say in it. Because it is a bit delicate, but it’s one of my favorite tracks and it’s pretty powerful if you let it.” I believe this is from his interview with genius talking about redecorate .

Seriously love you're videos, I've been racking my brain all day on what artists these song remind me of..... benny and the jets spot on! Thank you so much for connecting those dots. I listened to the song 3 times before you did it on the fly. This is why you and "No Life" are the best reactors in the game. You know your music and you can breakdown songs with ease. I love me some T O P and I love listening to your breakdowns.

Alright, I have a theory about Mulberry street. Dr. Suess’ first children’s book was titled And to Think What I Saw on Mulberry Street. The book describes a boy who went out to the aforementioned street; and when he gets home he makes up a story about the things he saw on his adventures, when in reality all he saw was a horse and a wagon. So my interpretation of the song would be Tyler going at all of those people who post fictionalized versions of their life on social media to make themselves seem more interesting, when in reality, they are just a horse and a wagon

Someone mentioned that Bounce Man is about Ned and it actually makes a lot of sense! Because in an interview Tyler mentions that a friend of his turned off his phone and he's lost and we know it's true because in Choker's video there's a sign of him.

tyler is unbelievable at what he does. if it wasn't already immediately obvious what 'Redecorate' is talking about -- as I've seen that connection hit really quickly for some people -- 'Redecorate''s lyric video really reveals the double meaning in his writing. I definitely felt like he took a song that was _inspired_ by the passing of his friend's child, and worked it into something that could be related to from a very _intimate_ point of view. that double meaning holds so much weight from both sides; "do I tidy up after my loved one, now that they're no longer here to do so?" versus, "do I tidy up before _I leave,_ so that my loved ones don't _have_ to?" Both come from a very forlorn, despairing place in two different ways, and I think Tyler nailed that feeling in the production of the song, too. thank you for the reaction man! I was _waiting_ to see you pop up with a Scaled & Icy reaction in my feed, and you did not disappoint! loved seeing your appreciation for 'Bounce Man' -- it was one of my unexpected favourites from the album, and I love that you picked up on that thread of melancholy woven just beneath the upbeat production of the song. Keep it up! Love your work.
