This brought back old memories of the 1960's in basic training where we had a night training. We had to crawl a night course , crawling over obstacles with bunker explosions while they were shooting live tracer rounds 3 feet over our heads with m 60 machine guns getting us ready to go across the pond. Your thinking, I sure hope this helmet works.

I have a little Belgian 22 rifle that when I was 16 I could have shot skeet with. I used to shoot birds flying with it all the time. Every weekend I had a new box of 500 rounds. Back then the were $6.50 a box. I took it to a range about 15 years ago. First time I had shot it in forever. Had a crow target. I had it all the way back which was less then 25yards ( it was indoor) and was shooting the eye on the bird out in a tight 1/2 group. These guys were like man you must shoot that a lot. When I told them it was at least 15 if not 20 years sense I held it , much less shoot it. They couldn't belive it. Has a sweet little brass dot and and v shape back sight. Type of gun that make anyone shoot better.

It's always hilarious when you put a really good shooter next to a average everyday shooter 😅 I'm sure the other guy is a pretty good shot, but plinkster is literally known for doing trick shots. I've never tried shooting clays with anything but a shotgun and I imagine it would be pretty difficult. Fun as hell, but difficult.

When the clay targets are flying away from you like that, it's called Trap. Skeet is when the targets are released from the sides and fly sideways across your field of view. There's also sporting clays, which is a mix of both trap and skeet, and often included things like ground targets as well.

Maybe someone already wrote this, but to answer your question: they are calling clays or clay pigeons or birds. Skeet is one of several different clay shooting sports (shooting trap is one, shooting skeet is another, etc.). And thanks for another great video! As a trap shooter, I would LOVE to try that!!

Looks like fun. Being an avid clays shooter for the past 50 + years love to try that. Watched an exibition shooter back in the early 70's shoot a round of skeet on a regulation skeet field over looking the Atlantic ocean. He was shooting a pump Remington in .22 short. he broke 24 out of 25.

Go through, the lead layer isn't all that thick. You only need a little lead to shield from radiation in the wavelength used for x-ray photography.

Man, I was REALLY impressed with myself when I was able to reliably hit 1 out of 10 thrown clays with a .22 revolver (Ruger SP-101 .22 with a Burris Fastfire and a Gemini action job). I couldn’t even do that now, and here you guys are hitting 1 or 2 out of 3. I guess auto and tracers MIGHT make it easier to a point, but not really in those wee little bursts. Awesome vid, do some more auto/tracer stuff! You’re right, it is really cool.
