When you decry executive bonuses, you show your lack of understanding on why Canada is even one of the countries which was considered rich. We were but no longer. Today, Canada is 23rd richest in the world. We have many countries that are twice as rich as we are. These countries, instead of having debt, have massive sovereign funds. Their living standards are high, their taxes are lower and they provide much better social services without putting their children in debt. Like Norway. Try to educate yourself. Buddy.

As a Bell employee, I'm appalled by Mirco Bibic's callousness and arrogance during this questioning. The very fact that they would choose to retain their bonuses (and give himself along with the other top executives a big raise) while simultaneously slashing thousands of jobs is sickening. $13 million dollars in bonuses, just to Bibic alone, is equivalent to the salary of over 180 top wage field technicians.

Bell used a third party company to take down your speed in order to have you calling in and increase the speed and pay 25$ per month more. In this way BELL avoids the Legal implication in revoquing clients contracts before term.

My bill just for TV was up $3.00 to $93+ per month. Each year it was going up by $3 per.year After being a Bell customer for many years, I called to cancel my service and was offered a $10 discount. I'm sorry but I got the same service for $45. This is less than half of what I was paying ($93 and change)

There are serious problems with BELL CEO compensation, but their “excessive” pay is not the biggest issue. The relentless focus on how much CEOs are paid diverts public attention from the real problem-how CEOs are paid. In most publicly held companies, the compensation of top executives is virtually independent of performance.

I believe the only responsibility a CEO has is to their shareholders. If he's doing angood job, he deserves a bonus. I don't know Canada's laws regarding this, so I don't know if they broke any laws, or if they were just being jerks.
