As a 23 year old that’s had two knee replacements. I can attest that knee pads didn’t do a god damn thing for my knees. Just because it feels better doesn’t mean you’re not putting all your weight on your knee caps. Literally 6 straight years of doing tile carpet and hardwood has fucked me for life.

I’ve owned this kit for about a year now. It’s okay, I built the carrier how I wanted and practiced with it a handful of times. The other day I was opening the front flap and the Velcro ripped off. So you get what you pay for. I contacted them and they basically said I’m on my own. Also keep in mind you’ll need to buy a spall jacket for the steel. Generally happy with it but I plan on upgrading in the future. Hope this help! It’s okay for the price but don’t expect to use this for heavy duty applications.

Beside steel plate is there other plate you can get? Wasn't it ceramic? I'm curious. I saw mercials where they shoot rifles and pistols w/o penetration. One guy shot 250 rds. I think the other material clocks in at just under one bill.

I've seen videos of using made at home molds, pouring resin over sheets of bulk bought then cut down fiberglass. The videos are surprising that they block pistol caliber up to .223 depending on how thick you go. I'm curious to see you try this out and review it because it's an at home and cheaper method. (I'm too broke to try it myself lol)

I just tried to call them after not receiving an order confirmation for an order a month ago. No answer, I left a message. I also have sent multiple emails inquiring about my order, but they have not been answered. I have contacted my bank to dispute my order. I’d stay away from this company if you cannot get an order confirmation or reply, yet they still charge your card. Edit: After two + months, finally got some communication back, a shipping notification. A few days later, and my order arrived. I dropped the dispute with my bank. I’d have preferred RTS had gotten back to me though. I ordered from a different company and was already equipped, so I didn’t need the order from RTS anymore. The only communication I ever got was that shipping notification, so I have no expectations a refund request would be answered.

Same, my card company has a dispute going on. Google them...it’s a bunch of shell companies, address is a UPS mailbox. Company address is in a small ghetto neighborhood in Miami, and it’s as usual loaded with reputable people on the board that probably have no idea they are listed, but they talk about having government contracts. It’s a scam that uses youtubers to build hype and get orders, make thousands and vanish. Rinse repeat.

Hard4Jesus I got an LA Police gear level 4 ceramic plate/carrier rig. I got the carrier and plates less than a week later. Around three weeks after that, I got a shipping notification from RTS and have the carrier I ordered from them after two months from the original order date.

My problem with plate carriers is the shoulder straps. I'm a small frame guy, so most straps dont go small enough to keep the plates where they need to be. Front plate will be on point, but then the back panel is like halfway down my back.

To see another review, check out Rex Reviews. They tried to tear this kit up and it took all the abuse they gave it. Including, if I remember correctly, an entire mag of 5.56 green tip with no deformation. I picked this up for $159 after Rex's review!

Sorry for the bad news, orders made in December are just now showing up to their forever homes. If you chose a promo deal within this past week, you won't see your kit for at least 2-3 months. Charles Turoski like I mentioned the first time I called I spoke to someone also. They were very friendly. They Stated they are extremely backed up on emails. My order that was supposed to be shipped in 21 days didn’t ship for 34 days. I left a voicemail as to the status and that day at 10:30pm I think it was I finally received an email saying it was shipped. What brand-model is it? Please don't say Ncstar or "amazon special". You would need a low profile/concealable plate carrier for it not to be bulky and cumbersome. I'll do you a solid, If you're not picky about color. Go to Tactical assault gear.com, in the clearance section look for Phalanx chest rig type 1 $20.00, and Havoc plate carrier $25.00. Only color options are acu/abu. Good hunting!

Actually i just recieved my ar500 level3 steel plates they had a bogo in November front and back plates for 90$ and i got a vism plate carrier for 40$ not a bad price to get into all this body armor craze....
