Hi everyone, and welcome back to my channel.
This is the first video so long, it's not a tutorial, but if you find some of my steps useful, then I'm very happy to be able to help you.
I had this 1:24 scale model of a Land Rover that from time to time was closed in a box, I tried to create this little diorama.

*Very nice! I did a double-take at the thumbnail to make sure it said "diorama" because it looks real. Some roots coming out of that exposed hillside would be a good added detail.*

Easier way of doing the waves is to hit the gel with low pressure air from your airbrush. Sick diorama man! A++

A glaring omission from an otherwise perfect diorama: No-one would take a Land Rover into potentially deep water without the 'snorkel' fitted to the right hand side fender

Wouldn't need a snorkel if the driver , very correctly, checked the depth first 😉👍 and gotta say that driver looks like he knows what he was doing 😂😂

A fantastic job, well-done! I notice you smoothed your base foam with sandpaper. Can I suggest you use a Surform or a Shinto Rasp for that task, as they are a lot faster than sandpaper (and leave less fine dust, and also leave a slightly rougher surface for the next plaster/clay-like textures to adhere to)?

Nice! In my opinion you can work more in the car, with the dirt, mud, dust and all that stuff, you can add some grass too. And If you can recreate a "real" back plate would look better than the Land Rover one probably. Good job!

Very nice. I wonder if embedding a (pulsing) led strip into the gel would create some subtle water movement illusion because of the light diffusion & scatter in the gel.

Technically put, an air intake snorkel should be added to the LandRover for this kind of passage...

Lol, you're not the only one. I was scratching my head thinking why the heck am I only seeing dioramas that are made for small 1.35 military stuff and war games. Then I had a light bulb moment and stuck 1/24 Diorama in the KZbin search bar and bingo.

Pardon my ignorance, I am new to dioramas. What is the white paste that you put the strained dirt on. It looks like "vinilcaped". But it was hard to read and like I said, I'm a newbie.

Water is way to dark/black. Tracks behind the vehicle and the water in front of it look more like an oil slick than mud/water.
