Full Course HTML Tutorial - How to Make a Web Site Using HTML and Notepad

The reason I decided to create this HTML tutorial video is to first present an introduction to HTML for people who aren't familiar with it. The second reason is to bring back the fun and joy of coding your own web site from scratch without using any fancy technologies or frameworks. And the third reason is to use this web site as my own personal information organizational tool. So I can keep some of the most important thoughts, skills that I'm trying to develop, quotes and articles organized.
I'm also using it as a launchpad for my new project called Life Craft which is a KZbin channel and a web site for personal development.
The web development field is filled with all kinds of languages and technologies and many people start learning the latest frameworks without even understanding what they are for. Knowing these latest programming languages can be good if you're looking to get hired, but Clever Techie is more about the passion of coding your own projects, building your own web sites.
In this video I'd like to bring back that passion of creating your own web site, while understanding every piece of code that you write and only adding and upgrading technology if necessary.

I was supposed to study making websites using squarespace or wordpress but because of too much options on their templates I am always stuck on which type of website I will try to make. That why is I decided to check if it will be better to start from the basics using HTML. Your video is very helpful as your instructions are pretty straightforward and easy to follow. Good going R.M. when I went to a college class, on web sites, we only start and follow HTML and CSS. That 's it. so, it is straight forward and easy to follow is correct. Don't forget to get the book, web Design, HTML5 & CSS3 third edition (cheaper). I still have mind, from two yrs. ago. still follow this baby. I'm in the process of reviewing from the class that I dropped. But don't worry, I still remember all of it, just a brush up. just like this course. Good luck, you will and everyone else will do fine, have guts, and confidence!

This tutorial helped me very much in creating a website as my school teacher has taught us to make a website by our self and the problem was that our teacher had not told us anything about html. They only gave us the intro to html but not taught that how to create a website and which attribute and which tag will be placed at which position. So, I thought that i should search it on you tube and when i saw your video i clearly understood all the attributes and all the tags and i also learnt that how can we make a website by our own. I extremely needed this video. Though I do have a few questions: could you please go over how you created the domain and got all of that ready to just accept your files you uploaded to it? Also what is the difference between head and header and h1? also can the and above the head and title tags or do they have to be after? Also, why is a closing tag meaning not needed for doctype, or the meta tags? also when is it better to use versus when you are just wanting spacing? Also in most of your html you kept using percentages - is that better for any reason versus is there any other way? Lastly, the video was clear, an okay overview and I am glad it was recommended to me. Thank you.

I think I can answer this question, Head is part of the mock HTML, as the body and Footer. It is part of the outline you need to follow as part of the format/wireframe structure. header is presenting the header. as Title: Meet the President. H1 or h1 is the height of the title. h1 is the tallest of the titles, the h3 is the smaller of h1, but of course you can bold every single one, if you wish. I think you should get a book on Amazon, Web Design HTML & CSS 3/ third edition, cheaper. I'am not getting pd. by amazon on this. I have this book for 2 or 3 years, reviewing this religiously this year 2021. And to answer L. C. for < ../.> that is the beginning and closing of a code. as for the not needed for doctype? That is the way it is set up.

its because when you were saving the "index.html" did you save it under the extension "Hyper Text Markup Language file(*.html ...e.t.c)"? If not, then it wont work. You can find the extension when saving a file, when you are writing the new file name, under it, there is a section that says "Save as type" and then select it and scroll down to find the extension that i mentioned above and everything will be good to go. It happened to me when i first started learning html and its common to most beginners

Hi Ham: It is always saved under "Index.html". This is until you save under file, as Save As, on the left side of the screen, then yu can save under name you wish. And with the CSS files for image and pictures/color, you also have to save this under a special name as you want to remind you of that original file that it mates. HTML, file and the CSS file go hand in hand, only you can name the files to match. PLEASE GET this book at Amazon, it will answer all of your questions, this one recommended from school/college web-site class. WebDesign Html5 & CSS3 third edition. This one is older but cheaper. Start from the beginning, it does show the filing, of files and the CSS has to be under the associates original file that it pertains too. Hope this helps. p.s.
