The highlight is not too light! If you cant tell, her foundation is actually too warm for her skin tone, so to balance everything out she needs that light concealer. And as you can see, it matches her hand and the rest of her body very well.

It came together in the end but I really think those concealers are too bright for you sis. 😩 You looked casket ready/grey at one point! Try LA girl in Toffee or even Chestnut, brightening but still warm enough. Your skin is too beautiful to be covered in all that white looking concealer. Hope you don’t take offense. 💕💕

How do people get away with using hella light concealers and powders 😫. I’m exactly the same shade as you and I use chestnut to highlight and use the black opal powder in dark to set my face but then when I take a picture on snap my whole face is hella light 🙄🙄

Karen .N don't use a lot of setting powder use a medium dark setting powder like Laura merciers dark one and if your using a light concealer put it in the center of your face, DO NOT put it in the sides of your face (under your cheekbone or around your eyebrow) because you willllllll get flashback and it will be harder to blend. Also use mac mineralized skin finish powder to tone down the brightness and if all that fails then go ham on the contour 😭 or simply use a darker concealer 🤷🏾‍♀️

Victoria Thomas the black opal in dark is more or less the same colour as the Laura merciers and I use a concealer that’s more or less my skintone yet I still look hella light and my foundation is slightly darker than my skintone

Wow your skin is crazy flawless even before the foundation. I have the Fenty Beauty foundation in 410 and thinking about also picking up 420 soon (or maybe 400). I love the finished look. And I thought I was one of the only people who had an aversion to sponges for the most part. I usually prefer brushes to any kind of makeup sponges but I have been curious about Real Techniques sponge.
