Beautiful video 👏👏👏 dedicated to the Rolls Royce of road bikes. Only one detail is missing (small, but not negligible), which normally the assembly videos show at the end of the video: the weighing of the complete bike (without pedals). Beauty is so much, but beauty and lightness is even better!

I still wonder looking at the production process inside SATO factory, and see a gimmicks, not a technology. Colored strands, 3k, and 4K carbon layout, old traditional technology, forms etc.

Maybe we don’t have wheels that can be compared to Enve, but true Italian beauty should wear Campagnolo Super Record. Yes I’m italiano...I still don’t like disk brakes but I’m get used to them but ceramic speed is a punch directly in my eyes... no doubt about the performance and quality just a comment to aesthetic

Unfortunately it does cost a pretty penny - we would like to see more mainstream brands offering custom at affordable prices - the main problem is the time it takes - which is usually reflected in the price tag.

I had bonded carbon with alloy 30 years ago on a giant cfm . It worked well but it's a bit old school tech now. I guess it has positives as you would expect perfect seating with the machined alloy and threaded all bb. It looks great here. Any idea of final weight?

I had cabon and aluminium bikes years ago and they don't compare to bikes nowadays. This is unlikely going to ride that lovely old giant, nor like my lovely Flandria bonded carbon/alloy I once owned.

My guess would be Mobil XPH 222 - its what Hope recommend for their hubs etc. I've been using it for years for pretty much everything.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

Good mechanics not only know how to assemble and work on bikes but also warn consumers of potential problems. I bought a new Colnago M10 carbon frame 9 years ago for $4500. It is toast already because the aluminum used in the manufacturing is degrading, turning to powder, and the carbon is delaminating. I had it checked by a professional company that fixes broken carbon bikes and they said they would not repair it because the repairs wouldn't last a year. Carbon frames are breaking at an alarming rate yet no one seems to be alarmed enough to speak out and tell us what a junk material it is for a bicycle. Instead these KZbin videos posted by these mechanics are calling these frames Dream Builds. I don't dream about them nor will I ever spend that kind of money for another one.

we disagree - there is plenty of soul in this bike - but we do understand it is out of reach for many people - but this has always been the case for many custom manufactures. Hopefully this will improve

@@bicycle_richmondCan’t agree more, I own a Sarto Lampo and the frame literally looks like a sculpture that I truly wouldn’t mind hanging on a wall in my house, an Italian piece of art, and that’s the reason why it’s out of the reach of many, the fact that they make these in Carbon hand layering technique in Italy from the best grades of CF known to mankind is a factor that comes with a price.

Paying for expensive packaging is unnecessary. At least me know the money has gone into the actual frame rather than packaging. Cardboard is also more environmentally friendly - win win!

Watching di2 get run into this beautiful bike is painful, if your going to run wires it should have been Campy, or if you want it clean Sram, Shimano is never the right answer.

@@bicycle_richmond The only thing Shimano wins at is having the largest marketing budget. It's not the lightest, it has the worst shift logic of the 3 major brands in both electronic and mechanical. They do make some decent road hubs, but I struggle to find a single place where Shimano is better.
