I would like to complement Jamie on her filming. In particular the muting of the sound during heavy grinding, the asking of questions and your interaction with Ian is really outstanding. The production of each new episode is getting better and better. I especially like how the both of you are opening up with a little more humor and banter. It is nice to see artists at work. Happy New Year and 100,000 subscribers is just around the corner!

Something I have found helpful when laying out curved lines, is the magnetic strip from inside a refrigerator door seal. Lay it out, adjust as necessary, trace with sharpie, remove strip then cut/grind/ whatever. Your work always inspires me to try something out of my norm.

Bello in Chula Vista did that with a similar car. The split window hung on the wall for years. One day he turned around at the wall and said "I got an idea". It looked sweet on the car. Broke up the width of the back.

Hi Ian and Jamie. Love your show, The body work you do is pure art, that is sitting back to visualize an end result and make it work and I take my hat off to you. It is a fortunate person who can earn a living from what they love doing and are good at it. I am an Aussie product of the 50's and grew up around cars of this ilk and people who modified them. You are setting out to emulate rodding of the 50's - 60's and I am in awe of your creations but I do have to go back the that original era and what the boys had to work with then. No MIG for starters, Panel welding was done with Oxy so distortion was the big issue to combat then lead filled and filed as 2 pack filler was years away as were 4" grinders, air and battery tools, cutting was by way of tinsnips and hacksaw. Everything was done by hand and late nights. You are what we call the real deal and an inspiration to up and coming body workers to follow a dream to create something unique. I'll keep watching as long as you keep posting.

Ian, I still have a mark on my right thigh where the prop came out from under the 48 Chev coupe hood as I was rough shaping the fiberglass nose job back in 57. This after the body man down the street torch welded the two halves. It was a friends we were working on it in his dad's gas station. As teens we all put a lot of work in that 48. Thus my interest in this project. I really appreciate your approach and eye for aesthetics. Again, happy I rediscovered you and am so looking forward to the ongoing progress. Appreciate the camera work and repartee...🤔⚘ Remembering the cameraman always lives...😂 Thanks so much for sharing. Trust y'all have a blessed, safe and prosperous New Year.

So this Chevy is coming along nicely everything flows perfectly welding the roof can be a real pain have you thought about using a panel bonding adhesive? A rib too reinforce the panel and bonding compound across the top seem could work well, i have a good friend 40 years as a body man in the best shop in town i have seen him use the compound to replace bedsides on picups and vans with out any chance of warping proven to work as well or better than welding at least as strong, great video as usual great to have Jamie with you helps the dialogue and im sure you enjoy having her working the camera and just being there

That worked better than you thought. I think if you did not shudder and worry that it would not work you would have had bugga boos for sure. Just goes to show how talented this guy is. The only thing i think would work out for the across the roof weld would be to put in a strip of metal like you did the split on the panel you added. Great watch and have a Happy New Year.
