Id love you to try this concept again, but maybe go for looks as well, like the best affordable custom loop that doesn't have a reservoir just sitting on the bottom of the case slightly tilted lol.

@@TechLens hey any way you could make a video showing how to assemble it step by step, how to check for leaks properly, and importantly how to drain the loop, because im considering getting this for my phoenix gtx 1660 OC which reaches 83c Degrees which is fine but i dont find it comfortable at all, ive never done a water loop before and i dont like the idea of putting water/coolant in my pc unless i have someone experienced guide me properly and 100% certain it wont damage anything

Even if it’s a potentially bad idea to put this on my main rig for the aforementioned reliability reasons, I’m quite tempted ngl, especially for AIO prices

Sounds super bad but make sure there’s no leaks, and after a while upgrade the reservoir and the pump if u don’t wanna spend money right away

If you had dual rads the temp increase on the cpu would probably not happen. I’ve always gone by the minimum of 240mm radiator size per component.

If its a full custom loop, why not run the tubing along back end, so its not so visible, or would there be pump issues?

Very interesting video, but I still don't get the idea behind watercooling - overclocking aside of course (AKA: it's heating up so fast that you need to pull the heat REALLY fast as well) - as the system is still basically air cooled ... So why not invest that money into a good cooler and a couple of noctuas? This is a real question, if anyone can chime in :) (being a geek, I fully understand the whole "fun project" thing tho)
@KorruptorGaming6 ай бұрын
I know it’s an old post, but the general idea of water cooling is better thermals with lower overall noise. Couple that with a lot of the newer GPUs and CPUs being able to make use of thermal headroom and overclock themselves accordingly so having better thermal performance means better bang for your buck on hardware.

the issue with this is that a leak is gonna be 2000-3000CAD depending on your PC

even with a full copper loop with the copper radiator is it still recommended to not only change the fluid periodically but also use that cleaning fluid?
@GCS883 жыл бұрын
You should get atleast another 120mm radiator instead letting the warm fluid going into a reservoir 240mm rad > GPU > 120mm rad > cpu > then back to the 240mm
@jackC6Z2 жыл бұрын
the loop route does not matter, jayztwocents made a video. As long as the water is in a closed loop the temp will be same no matter the order

great review. I'm still a bit torn about getting the Aura cool 240 or a gammaxx400 gte or try my luck with a cheapo water cooling loop. I also did research and found some affordable and quite respected brands in custom watercooling, (Bykski and Barrow).
