I love how real you keep it, I left European Wax Center after 3 months because I could not personally handle it and I got a lot of criticism from friends and family but the reality is that no one really knows the situations that you find yourself in as an esthetician 😵‍💫 I’m also an Illinois Esthie and have considered going to school for nursing to tap into the medical side, or at least get my medical assistant (you don’t have to go to school, you just have to take the exam but obviously you pay for it), since that would allow me to work at a medspa but for now I am going solo and I guess we’ll see how that goes 😂 but thanks again for sharing and I love watching you! ❤

Damn… sitting at a desk for 12+ hours with only a 30 min lunch break is very intense.. I don’t think most people would be able to do that. Doesn’t sound worth it! I’m sure there will be other opportunities that are more what you’re looking for. You got this ❤

Yes it was mentally draining I wouldn’t be able to do that every week! I’m just going to promote my business as much as I can!!

The struggles, I tried to get another job in September. It was front dest at a lash bar. They wanted my shift to be 11-7pm. The first day shadowing, girl I couldn’t. First they only gave me one 10 minute break that whole time 11-7. I felt like a prisoner. When I’m in my studio office. I go run errands between clients. Plus I have a 16 year old who also works and I take time off to go drop her off and then later pick her up. So yes after that one week shadowing I left.

I do lash extensions and facials, plus like lash lifting and brow laminations. I’m investing in a marketing team instead to bring me more leads. I’d rather pay someone to run my ads than to work for someone else.

Ugh yes absolutely same after the first day I already was like I can not do this no way… not moving for 12+ hours barely a break.. no. I do that too In between clients I love the flexibility we get to have!

The potential of your own business, including the wedding make up part, is phenomenal. I think you have a good handle on how you can expand laterally. You are an entrepreneur and most likely dont have the 9 to 5 psyche. Plus, 12 hrs is hard. I upskilled from a labour ward midwife to midwife sonographer as I found it mental torture beingin a roomwith the same couple for 12 plus hours!!😂

Yes! Omg sitting at the desk from 6:30 am - 8-8:30 I mentally was going insane inside and was just thinking the whole time like.. how do I get out haha 😂😅
