You didn’t have to be an Arsenal fan to realise how good this guy was. I’m a United fan and even though he hurt us quite a few times with some of the goals he scored against us, there was still a grudging admiration. I remember that goal he scored against us at Highbury in the 00/01 season I think it was. When he flicked it up and volleyed it in the net. Unbelievable. One of the all time greats.

Maybe Vieira, Anelka and Petit made Arsenal famous in France like he said. But since 2000 in France, we can't talk about Arsenal without mentioning Henry. I'm 27 and I grew up thinking that he was the best player in the history. I remember that every sunday night when the french tv showed some highlights about the others europeans leagues, every week during 8 straight years, this guy was scoring goals, assists and embarassing defenders. RIP To Antonio Reyes. From a Chelsea fan. I was a kid always seeing Arsenal win things & was hurt as a young boy in the 02 fa cup final. I remember Reyes scoring a few belters against us. Always nice to see what he did for Arsenal, gone way to soon.

That champions league final haunts me till this day and always eats away in the back of my head...albeit quieter as the years have gone on but still.
