Toms are the most difficult task to make working for me, I always wish I could look into Toto`s "I will Remember" mix. Thanks for the nice video hints anyways. BTW there is some kind of crackling noise on T1 solo demo in 16:46-ish time of the video, why is that? It seems to be during gate closing phase...

I love that track as well, use it for checking sound systems all the time. The crackling noise is some sort of a sync problem that happens in Reaper which does not communicate well with my external drive. After a few minutes those crackles start popping up for no reason. After a Reaper restart all is back to normal. Can’t really figure that one out... but great ear, nice catch.
