I found the thread on MYE28, CAN I HAVE A PARTS LIST OR SOURCES??? Especially if I need to manual swap and get rid of the automatic. My M21 lasted me 11 years. I bought it with 110,000 miles and i retired it with 310,000 miles the last 20,000 miles were with 1.27 Bar, 227HP, and 486 NM before the piston rings gave up

Hi, fantastic work!!!! A question, you used a specific tool for lock the camshaft during the installing of the timing belt ? It's possible a video dedicated for the replacement of a timing belt? Thanks you ;)

Having taken it apart. What is stopping this engine from making power. If a 1.9tdi can do it so can the M21. My 524td is itching for more boost

Usually, it’s the electronic fuel pump :(

I added a WH1C and 18psi, I turned up the injection pump but 20k miles later i blew piston rings and other damage, it still runs with 310,000 miles.

Its like a mini Cummins. Super simple mechanical engine but never made much power.

Maybe a dumb question, but could you tell me why you decided to install the engine and put the engine head along with camshafts after? Wouldn't it be easier to assemble it all separately and then install the engine ?

Aa a heavy equipment mechanic, I was thinking the exact same thing. Would've been way easier to assemble outside of the engine bay and then install. I've done in frame rebuilds, but any opportunity to get more room is always taken.
