I always have sausage, bacon, black pudding, fried egg, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes and some sort of potato, usually a leftover fried up. HP sauce and ketchup for me. Very once in a while, a slice of fried bread too. Great as a brunch, late lunch or even a dinner. Bubble and squeak is a great addition too, if you have leftover potatoes and greens. Southeast Londoner.

The Scottish fry up version includes a scone or two or, occasionally, has browns. Beans on toast are great after a night of partying.

OMG YES! When we visited Newcastle 5 years ago we had the full English breakfast (me with HP sauce and no mushrooms because I don't like them) every morning at the B&B. I grew up with breakies like this because I had English parents (yes from Newcastle, in the north, hence the HP sauce usage), so it's not as odd for me. I still do an occasional fry up on the weekends. I have tried black pudding, it's not too bad actually. Not something I'd have every time I do one, as it's usually only found in the British stores that carry sweets and other food stuff imported from over the pond in my town. Jaffa cakes are worth the effort though! I still have half a packet in the pantry, amazing they've lasted till today since I just bought them on Wednesday LOL

Black pudding is not congealed pig’s blood, it’s a cooked sausage made from onions, pork fat and oatmeal SOAKED in pig’s blood. Tastes a lot better than it sound.

I keep ketchup in the fridge. Maybe it's different in the UK but my bottle says to refrigerate after opening. And no we don't eat beans for breakfast in the southern US. At least not in my area. Beans are for lunch or dinner.

I love black pudding, but my family is from Jamaica so I've had "worse" food items. I have had a fry-up in Devon, where they have their own pig's liver sausage in addition to black pudding. My two visits to the UK required as many fry-ups as possible since English-cut back bacon is almost impossible to find in the US (only side (streaky) bacon here).

No one in the South gets baked beans at a restaurant breakfast. Maybe they eat them in the privacy of their own home. But also, I found the breakfast beans in the UK less spicy than what you would get from the grocery store. Bush's, Heinz, etc, taste more like Bar-B-Que.

I do often see beans in the breakfast at the hotels I stay at, but I don't eat them because beans make me fart, so I'm with Jess on this one, but I love the rest! Bacon, sausage, egg, fried tomatoes, mmm, full English breakfast! What's not to love?!

While they're common, baked beans aren't traditionally part of a fry-up. Fried bread is more traditional than toast.

Shame I can't add a picture on here. When I do a fry up, Full English style it's two fried eggs (soft yolk), fried Lincolnshire or Cumberland sausage, four rashers of bacon, fried mushrooms sliced thickly, two tomatoes halved and then fried, two slices of black pudding light, fried bread (sometimes I'll butter both sides of the bread and fry it in a pan or I'll fry it in the juices of the pan I've cooked my bacon and sausages), also fried beans (first cut up two or three rashers of bacon (depending on size) quite small and fry in some butter when nicely cooked to how you want add half a tin of Heinz (or similar) baked beans and a pinch of white and black pepper and stir thoroughly and keep doing so till cooked through and lightly thickened, now serve), plate up and enjoy.

I am Chinese and I have been in this country for almost 6 years. I never have HP or ketchup in my breakfast though, instead I use the tomato juice in the baked beans as my sauce... lol

My advice is to stay way from central London. Stay on the outskirts - Greenwich, Primrose Hill, Hampstead. Great firework views without all, the crowds. Syrus :-)

Honestly it is so weird for me that you guys like to eat meat and heavy stuff like that right in the morning. We here would eat things like cereals or maybe some bread, but definitely not that.
