Because this portrayed the impossibility and doom of the relationship perfectly. And this was honestly the theme of the show. Yes, they are meant for each other. But the dark love story and the poignancy of the relationship was the highlight. So much so that Ekta had a different ending planned.❣️

Or may be both abhay piya dead but ek ko maarke dusre ko zinda rakha ye accha hua nahi kiya . Mare toh dono mare .

I know right ! Talk about gaslighting ! The more i see this character of Piya I find it so self-centered. She chose to leave as she please, uninformed even her "best friend" & forced Abhay to stay when he wanted to leave, she even called him animal & was grossed out by his appearances & on top gaslighting him that it's him who is doing it ! Wtf ! I was such a child when i used to watch this on TV, even had a crush on Vivan. Din't noticed any of it then, though. 😁✌

She's an illegitimate child of her father plus had lost her mom since she was a kid and was left in the orphanage for soo many years where she never got any specific love . May be she always had trust issues since her father also left her and her mom when she was a child . That's why may be she's unable to face the reality. It's very easy to judge her on the superficial layer but she too has emotionally and mentally suffered a lot since she was born . Abhay always wanted her to hate but now when abhay got the hate he couldn't tolerate her hatenes. And piya couldn't tolerate his reality but in the end both accepted each other.
