I agree, though some people like him who are TOO focused on the chase lose something good while chasing it. I think she just wants a commitment even if its just an engagement, that doesnt mean it cant be a long engagement. But a lot of focused people can be married and chase the dream together as a team and build an empire TOGETHER but he don't want it so why force him? What Judge Toler failed to address is that he does find time to recreate after working his "millions of jobs" and all the lady is asking is that he spend some of that time with her. A relationship needs quality time to flourish and he's not providing that. He's all about himself at this time, and rightfully so. At twenty three you're really starting to bask in your adult independence and freedom. Ole girl really needs to just do her for a while and when he realizes that she doesn't have him to study then he'll want to make himself an issue in her life.

Theses two are on different paths. Either way, in the UK the average age for marriage is 30 and children around 31/35. By then you have secured your career, bought a house and seen the world.
