I think he won’t move forward because she is a stay at home mom and she doesn’t think about him as a person. Disregards trying to make him happy. Maybe she got too comfortable. Here's the thing though, those type of issues don't go away. You will always have moments where you feel like your spouse isn't meeting your needs. That's relationships in general. You aren't going to marry someone that is perfect. You are going to marry someone that you love and encompasses values that are important to you. If you don't like things that they are doing, communicate that to them. If they still don't do those things, then you have to make a decision if this is the person you really want. Having kids with them while not knowing that, doesn't help anyone.
