It is called realizing that YOU are NOT your religion and that love for an actual person you can see, hear, feel and grow with versus whatever religious ideal you've been indoctrinated into are two wholly and totally different things. Christians have the highest rate of divorce here in the U.S. and one of the reasons is this attitude about the one you're with having to believe exactly as you do which is also why there are over 33000 denominations of christianity alone. It is BOTH of their children. He has an equal saying in whether or not he wants his children exposed to Jesus and Christianity. As their children grow older, they will make the decision on whether or not they believe. Give them the CHOICE to go the church. The CHOICE to say grace. The CHOICE to pray. Don’t say that they can’t. Just because they are underage, doesn’t mean that they don’t have the lawful right to their own religious beliefs. Parents are supposed to guide..not tell them what they can and cannot believe in. It is unnecessary and unfair to say they are not allowed to go their grandparents because of their religious beliefs. What about when they go to school and have friends with different beliefs than them? Are they only allowed to be friends with atheists? That’s stupid. I don't know about the whole religion thing. I grew up around very religious people and I personally am not a person of faith. A lot of people around me, friends and family, made me say prayers. They made me do it all of the time and if I refused they would get mad at me and tell me I was going to hell. They would throw bible versus at me and tell me I was a sinner, and to be honest it made me dislike religion even more. Personally, I do believe her when she says that his parents do not respect their wishes. I believe it because I lived through it.

I understand you a lot, people who have to push their religion on others have something that they're missing and they lack the basic understanding of having respect of someone else's religion and ideals without needing to practice it. Telling someone they'll go to hell for not following a certain religion isn't gonna make someone suddenly want to be a part of it. If I go to hell for not following one of the several other religions out there then so be it. I won't sell myself out with a fake faith in a religious system in order to make other judgemental people happy. I have always had respect for all religions, but it's not my path to follow. And that doesn't mean I'm any less spiritual or that I'm disconnected with God, however that energy source may be perceived.

You Christians need to chill, if someone doesn't believe in the Christian god don't judge someone, one of the things this country was founded for was religious tolerance. You can't tell someone who is non religious, a Muslim, hindu, jewish, etc. they are wrong if they don't believe what you do.
