Jane Iredale is the faithful standby when my rosacea is raging. I have very dry and sensitive skin, never thought a powder foundation could possibly work for me. Yet, like the magic that is, Iredale foundations work. Nice work, Nikki!

Nikki, I was so excited to see you try the JI makeup! I have used it for years and here's what you need to know... Yes, many women are afraid of powder makeup, but there are circumstances that make it the best choice. It is actually made for oilier skins, without having a drying effect. I am 62 YO, have aging, but still oily skin that eats makeup. AND I live in Florida - a very humid environment most of the year. I have always had a challenge keeping on foundation. The combination of the JI serum (which has been out a long time and is very similar to the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Skin) and the PurePressed is a Godsend for me. The serum, or a good tinted sunscreen, give the powder something to stick to. The spray mist is made with hydrolized water, which actually penetrates the mineral powder (regular hydration sprays don't do this) and makes it waterproof and non-transferable. However, a powder with talc in it may not work as well because water and talc can = cakiness. It's great to use during the day to refresh your makeup. JI also makes a lovely matte setting powder which will take down the glow, if you like. It was so fun watching a professional makeup artist use this! I find the purepressed also works great when underpainting with cream products (like you did), as long as those product are not too emollient and actually set. The new Milk Jelly blushes are perfect for this! Thank you for featuring JI and all your great tips. Love you!

I am 55. Not oily but not dry either. I have used Jane Iredale powder foundations for 30 years. I still love it.I have always had sensitive skin but even more so now that I am older. I don't do anything to fancy to my skin but I do keep it exfoliated and use a face oil/balm. I use other powder foundations that I also love, but I come back to JI again and again. I especially love the pressed powder as a sunblock. I use it when I go to the beach. It looks very natural so you can't really tell I am wearing a foundation. It stays on when I swim. It works great for me. I can't use liquid sunblock so this is a life saver. Absolutely love it. 💜

@@ChristinePacinda You may need to play around with brushes. I find it really matters. Depending on your skin, and taking into account the learning curve of using a powder (and each brand has its own little learning curve), it might take a few tries to get it right. I am 55 and still using these mineral powder foundations. The pressed is a little more coverage than the loose; which is more sheer and more luminous. Both are gorgeous on my skin. And often I use a pure rose-water spritz after for a flawless look..

Great Jane Iredale makeup look Nikki. You look gorgeous. MandyMUA applies the Serum Tint with her fingers, first rubbing her fingers together to break up the beads of foundation then applies like a moisturizer. Very pretty. I wore this brand all through my 30s. Changed my life. I had oily, acne prone skin and couldn’t keep makeup from slipping off and disappearing. This stayed on, looked beautiful and had skincare in it. It was my first official skincare, now that I think about it. When I hit about 38 it started looking terrible because my skin went from oily to dry and mature (fine lines). I can’t say enough good things about this line and recommend it for anyone young with oily skin. If I had a daughter, I would pay the expensive price and buy it for her.

hmmmm... I'm 64 with lines and some texture and just purchased this line.I have normal skin and with proper moisturizing these products work well for me. I purchased the powder foundation, matt liquid foundation, 2 bronzers ( the matt and shimmer one with 4 colors), one of the lip products with the pencil and the spray being used in this video. I was able to see the products in the store BlueMurcury and they honored the friends and family 20% off that the brand is offering on their site right now. I'm attracted to the fact that the products are clean and they last ALL DAY !!!! I felt the serum with the color beads in it was weird because the beads didn't really break up well on the back of my hand before blending into the skin. I might revisit that product again to see if I can make it work.

I love Jane Iredale and have used them for years. The powder foundation holds up pretty well throughout the day and when I have to wear a mask for work I find that it doesn’t separate or transfer. I have dry skin with rosacea and find the products to be not irritating. It’s a “get finished quick” product for me, using a dense brush in downward motions over concealer and paired with my Alastin tinted sunscreen, it’s chefs kiss!

Love this! Jane Iredale HydroPure tinted serum and PurePressed base are HG for my 40+, combo/dry, extremely finicky/sensitive skin. Lisa J put me onto the brand a couple years ago and I am so grateful she reminded me about it. Almost every other base/foundation product breaks me out or causes some other annoying skin reaction, so I really appreciate JI's formulations. The brightening primer and setting spray are also lovely if you are not sensitive to fragrance/essential oils. I will say that applying the HydroPure with your fingers preserves some coverage (although it's still a very light coverage product, great for no makeup-makeup days or underneath higher coverage products).

jane iredale’s lip liner in spice has been a favorite for AGES!!! i also love their powder blush and i’m so glad that they added new shades to the range. i’m dyinggg to try their new eyeshadow trios, because they have a beautiful formula altogether. i tried their newest lipstick after watching lisa j swatch them all on her lips on her channel last summer. i know how much she adores this brand, and you look absolutely beautiful in the products you used. your eyes look soooo pretty in pink!!! your videos ALWAYS make my day!!! 💗💗💗

So happy you did a video of Jane Iredale. I used to work at a place that sold it and my clients loved their base products. The powder foundation is my fav too, still use it today. You should try their BB cream, which has better coverage than the one you used in this vid. When you use the powder over it, you get full coverage. Also loved to use their powder foundation on my male actors because it looked natural on screen without looking like they had a bunch of makeup on. Their setting sprays are top notch, too, and definitely a pro kit item along with the powder foundation.

BB cream was reformulated and very hard to work with now. Reviews on their site are full of very unhappy with the new formula customers. I agree that the coverage is amazing but the colors need work as everything is too yellow once you go deeper than the #4 which is peachy but just a tad to light for my medium skin tone.I have a feeling they will go back to the drawing board with that product and I will revisit if they decide to go back to the original formula .I got a sample of the tinted moisturizer and testing that out.

I could watch you put on makeup all day, you're an amazing teacher! This ended up being a very pretty rosey look. The serum tint didn't provide much coverage, but it did make your complexion look so even and glowy. Maybe, you just needed a darker shade. I just ordered your N17 and your N16 brush, I can't wait until they get here. Please keep doing uncut videos, they're awesome.

I love the stick blushes! I have balmy and afterglow; they are just gorgeous. The lipsticks are nice too--rosebud is pretty. I tried that tinted serum and was not a fan; it had no color and I just didn't understand the purpose of it. When I placed my order, I received an eyeshadow single as a gift--wow was that pretty! I haven't used any other J.I. products than these.

JI has awesome products that I'd start off anyone with & highly recommend as staples in a collection - they simply always look great. I have the Amazing Base powder, which is my favorite of the two. It's great for summer since it has sunscreen, adjustable coverage, and helps prevent a greasy look in the humidity. You should apply their powders with a brush going downward insomuch as one can, something about how the minerals lay and reflect. The liquid minerals is very light coverage, and it works nicely applied with fingers, it t evens out well on a "no makeup" day and is lighter even than the LE tint. The Pommist spray is a core product for me, worth the investment, nice for refreshing after several hours & sets well, but I do wish they'd lighten up the mister a bit - just hold it farther away than some setting sprays. Cream products (any - Violette, Phytosurgence, EM, Denessa M, Westman, Beauty Pie, Salt NY, etc.) fade after an hour or so, even with various primers & setting sprays, powders (except Hindash, weird) - so frustrating. How did the cream bronzer and blush work? Did they stay on? Any tips??

Fenty has a stunning lavender powder, the loose one, I use under my eyes. I'm warm, olive and have green eyes it is beautiful! Purple is opposite from green, so it really looks pretty on me. 💜

I love using the Jane Iredale mineral foundation in the summer. I also use the powder blush and the palmist setting spray. Lisa J turned me onto these. Wish I could afford more. Unfortunately, when I do my makeup, no matter the brand, it doesn't look nearly as perfect as you just did.

Your makeup brushes were a game changer for me, they lay my makeup down so amazing! I'm still needing help with how to tone down a med-full coverage foundation. I have the YSL all hours luminous matte foundation but it still looks full on me? & the Guerlain TERRACOTTA LE TEINT Healthy Glow is a lot of coverage. I am a light light coverage girly or skin tints. I like a light Natural luminous finish.

Warm tone foundation and concealer usually look orange on me, neutrals look yellow af, and cools look pink. It's like the undertones are too prominent for my skin.

Hi Nikki! I skipped over this video by accident, so I'm sorry that my question is late. Did you apply the Bronzer, before the Powder Foundation, because you thought it might pill? This Jane Iredale Tinted Serum/Powder Foundation combo looks great! I have normal combo skin, and I like a lighter coverage. I currently use IT Celebration Foundation, but it's a few of years old. I love Jane Iredale the tinted serum is very nice. Tho it works better applying with your fingers . I remember trying to use a brush and I couldn’t see much of any coverage. The concealer has a gorgeous coverage and wear time I’ve even panned 1 of the pressed powders

Nikki as always you are so beautiful after your application. But, you didn’t use the mineral powder to its advantage. I use it and love it I’m 65 & very T zone oily. You used it like more of a setting powder it really is a makeup base
