Hi Abby, I really have to say that if I could only choose one brand, no hesitation, it would be Chanel. I have fav products from other brands - Westman Atelier, Dior, and Chantecaille come to mind - but Chanel is the one I would pick if I were stranded on a deserted island. I rarely wear foundation, so I’m basing this opinion more on eye makeup, blush, lipstick and perfume. Makeup is my hobby, but my daughter asked me to do her makeup on her wedding day this past October, and I was hugely honored. She didn’t want to look overly made up - just herself with some color. Thanks for all the stellar looks and GRWM episodes this past year. As I’ve said, and obviously meant, no one has better skin than you on You Tube. Hello Maureen and Happy Happy almost New Year! I agree! Chanel is my go-to brand- and like you - I love it all but I have a sweet spot for Chanel. That is so sweet that your daughter asked you to do her makeup for her wedding. I LOVE THAT!! AND thank you for all you support and love. You look beautiful! I have the same coloring as you, except dark (ahem, dyed) hair! You don’t need concealer but in case you’re curious, I got the new Chanel concealer in BR32, and I highly recommend that color. I think you’d love it!! The B20 is pretty on you too but the BR32 is quite a bit more light toned than the same shade in the Sublimage Le Teint foundation! And, it’s very cool toned. I took the plunge with the concealer based on your recommendation and you are 100 right - it’s worth every penny. Happy new year and say hi to Olaf!

Love the combo you used on your skin. Just the right amount of shine. I have been using the same tweed et brun all week. Took just that to Georgia. I still haven't tried the cream bronzer and like that highlighter with the cream blush. Might have to order them. I don't know why the cream blush doesn't get talked about....I have 2 of them and love them. Thanks for keeping my boring indoor bike rides fun while listening to your videos. Chanel was my IT brand in 2022! Their lip products are hard to beat, Allure Velvets, the glosses, the Coco Flashes….the eyeshadow quads ( I think Cuivre might be my fave???), and of course, the Stylo Yeux-I have most of the shades now, such a staple. And, I also treated myself to 1957 this holiday season and it is indeed a joyous aldehydic burst of bergamot at the top. In a word, irresistible! Still loving this hairstyle update on you. So stunning.

Happy New Year Abby! Was a huge fan of Dior Rose de Baume that they unfortunately discontinued quite awhile back. By Terry Rose de Baume seems to be a great dupe though. These maximizers look great on you and would be a fun option for color. I bought the Halo Pink mazimizer pre holidays and never end up using it unfortunately. It's too slippery and "oil slick" like.

I bought last year's Holiday Quad just after Christmas in the New Year. It appealed to me due to being a different type of palette to what I had. I quite liked the simplicity which could be changed about with the black matte shadow. Just like so many others, I bought the Mediterranean Quad which is so beautiful all year round, but especially for summer. It's that bronze/olive shade that is the shade that brings this Quad to life. My favourite mascaras have been from Chanel but I wasn't at all curious about the one they released that claimed to have a hint of rouge. I'm not liking the big long brush on this one either, especially when having small eyes. I wasn't impressed by Chanel this year by pushing out hyped up releases that just appeared to be 'cash grabs', such as the Tweeds and the over-sized products that were simply ridiculous. The Hightlighters released with the Holiday Collection would take a few lifetimes to get through by using everyday! The Tweeds sold in Australia for AU$145.00 for only 2gm of product! Dior's L/E Quints sold for AU$121.00 for 7gm and Burberry's Monogram Eye Palette Holiday L/E Release contained 20gm for AU$120.00!!! I'm sorry, but Chanel doesn't even come close to the quality of Burberry. To top it off, I bought five Pat McGrath Motherships that had been reduced recently and the most expensive was AU$128.00.00 to the least at AU$105.00 that contain 13.20gm of shadow each. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind here, only putting this into perspective. No eye-shadow is that good that deserves to be priced this high. Also, with the hike in price of the latest Lipsticks that are meant to have extra pigment in them, I do not believe this warrants the price going up by AU$20.00 each, especially when Dior and YSL both released a new highly pigmented lipstick but kept the price exactly they same. I'm afraid that Chanel is off my radar for awhile, especially after the wonderful new brands I've been discovering this year. Burberry definitely scored my top vote.🥇Abby, the lipsticks you tried on came across as if they were slightly frosted. Is this the way they are or is it the lighting? I've been wishing for a nice frosted lipstick to make my lips appear larger and most curious about these ones. Thanks for all you've done for us through your Channel this year.
