I always appreciate that you can acknowledge when something isn't working for you and start over to make it work (the Balm). So many KZbinrs I watch will just push forward for the sake of not re-filming the video and not like the product or the rest of the products because of one thing that could've easily been reversed. Love your work as always!

Girllll that blurring balm powder is perfect for me! I just push it into my pores with my fingers then use the new Mario skin perfecters for warmth around the face then Dior no powder powder to set. Chefs kiss! My perfect everyday routine. I’ll use a little concealer to cover any imperfections. A little blush and mascara + brows. 5 minute routine and I feel so beautiful.

Oh, and I think that Upsalite stuff is what's in Linda Hallberg's Blotting Powder. That's a great product. Linda does rock climbing, and she told a story about how she tried some new powder for climing, like for grip I guess, and it was so good she formulated her powder around it! Linda is kind of the Danessa of Sweden I think. Sooo creative and innovative.

Danessa Myricks totally sucked me in with those Twinflame and Chrome Flakes products - I bought some too. I had the same experience you did - they look amazing on the eye, but it ends up feeling like you put a layer of Elmer's glue over your eye and let it dry lol. It makes your eyelid skin feel very crusty when you blink.

That balm powder has been an absolute game changer for my skin which is 💯 The oilest known to man. I can actually wear foundation for more than an hour now 😭. The tinted version didn’t work for me, just didn’t like it. So I tried the universal. Prep skin very well and apply with fingers as a base. It changed my foundation game

@jeanetteprice62772 жыл бұрын
From all the reviews I've seen, the balm just isn't the best for dry skin. Danessa says dry skin can use it, but you have to prep really well. I was going to pass on it altogether, but I just saw Danessa mix the universal shade with some Colorfix to make a blush, and that sold me. For dry skin, unless you're going to shellac down your flakey bit, seems it's just better for setting. Maybe even for blotting, but its just too big to carry around. Still, I'm looking forward to mixing it with or using on top of some dewier products.

I'm on the fence with the chrome flakes. I only have one shade but I can't figure out how I like it best. I like the look of it really slathered on all over the lid, it looks like iridescent snake skin and I love the texture visually but it's uncomfortable. The other way I've tried it is with iridescent shadows as a base and then more lightly applied for a more sparse sparkle but it honestly just looks messy when I do it that way.

I’ve recently got the brighter lip and cheek palette, tried using that bright pink and I had to take it down so much with foundation, must try removing excess and mixing with the lighter peach which I tend to use a lot because it’s so much more controllable. I really need a mixing palette though, I mix so many foundations on the back of my hand anyway, I have to use makeup remover on them before leaving house 😂I like the look of that darker palette too, didn’t think I’d like that one. Having said that, I’m way paler than I’ve been in 20 years at the moment so once I’ve been abroad in August, my skin will actually be about 6 shades darker anyway.

I got shade 3 in the DM balm and i dont think this product should be used us a foundation or skin tint or any base. I think it will only be good for contour/bronzing and possible setting but im still unsure even about that. I was not a fan and the shade i got was a perfect match. deff going to take a lot of finagling haha
