I am stunned! Your makeup looks beautiful even on the dupe side. HOWEVER, I’d love to know how it lasted. Did you get shiny from the powder? Did the shadow color absorb or fade? At the end of an hour did they set similarly because you said it takes time to settle. I hope you wear this all day because THAT is where I would expect the difference to be. Great video Nina!

From the demo, it's clear what I would consider picking up Because you had to use more foundation, it started to look cakey. The reason why the dupe side didn't look bad is because you're a professional and awesome, and will blend until it works! You're assessment was clear. I am so intrigued by the Whirl moisturizer, so I'd say a dupes of effective skincare would be nice to see. Feel better Nina-curl up with that blanket!

Hi Nina have you tried the NYX micro brow pencil, very similar to ABH! They also do great pen style brow pens that are like ABH and have a good selection of colours, really good for creating hair strokes!

You actually have the same opinion and conclusion when I bought a Nyx color pallette 2 weeks ago. Love it, considering the fact that there were 2 reasons why I've bought it. 1: the colors are so pretty, 2: it was on sale. 😂 Looking good, and taking the time to take care of yourself does not need to be expensive. Also, you should try using the maybelline foundation with your beauty blender and see if there’s less you have to use. Maybe it was the sponge why you had to keep going in with so much more.

I think your colors matched really well! It was very hard to tell at the end that the sides were different. I use the Maybelline instant age rewind and I love it! Hi Nina, brilliantly honest video, thank you. I would like to know how well the makeup lasted throughout the day. Where both sides as long lasting as each other? Also my particular problem are my eyebrows. Im 63 and have lost a lot of my natural brow. I can imagine this was not the easiest video to do for a couple of reasons. For one you don’t use them so it takes a lot of research, time, and money to figure out. But as I can relate, being a professional telling someone that a drugstore brand is close must be a difficult thing to do. But as in my situation, I’m struggling just to keep my home right now and yet, it’s not out of vanity, but wanting to feel confident, that I still want to use the premier products I’m used to but find that I am just going to have to give on some of these things. So, I truly thank you. For some it’s to save a few bucks, for others it’s to have any at all. I do still have a few things I can’t give up yet! I did get the Laura Mercier powder you recommended. And love it! I still use premium skin care for my face and will until I am starving! And I’m really struggling to give up Josie Marian’s body butter for body lotion. Man that’s tough to give up!

I love these comparison videos! I don’t use much drug store makeup! Lipstick maybe and I’ve tried many other products that did not work out for me. I do have a question for you: My skin tends to get more dry in the winter months and I am in my 40’s (a lot of people don’t believe me when I tell them my age…they think I’m younger thanks to my genetics) so what primer and lightweight foundation that gives a luminous glow would you recommend to try?? I personally am looking for a waterproof long wearing lip liner that I can wear with everything to start and then build my color selection. I had asked before in the Charlotte Tilbury but any brand, cheaper is better for me, but most importantly I drink water all day and night and need it to stay! I use a straw but have noticed terrible pucker lines forming and may have to stop with the straw. I am a white midwestern American woman with a light skin color but tan extremely well in summer. But now in winter I am pretty light. 55 so lips have lost a lot of color although I’m an addict and always have a natural plant based balm on. Thank you. Your skin shades are too brown for me. I looked at the icon color but too brown. Thanks!

Wondering if you used the same tools for both sides whether that may change the amount of foundation used? As you said the sponge on the drugstore side tripled in size, so the potential for the sponge to absorb more product is a possibility. Have you tried the drugstore sponge with the luxury foundation?

I used the same tools except sponge but as mentioned in the video, it could be the sponge or foundation. Haven’t yet used the RT sponge with my regular foundation
