I started buying and collecting actual makeup when I was 8 or 9. When I was 11 i started wearing mascara and sometimes I would do my eyebrows, but I don't regret it because I had been watching makeup videos on youtube for 3 years, so I knew how to do it. my first time I wore makeup was in 5th grade with mascara and lip gloss; sometimes blush. Than in 6th grade, I found out about a cheap makeup brand called E.L.F and begged my mother to buy me makeup from there. I ended up getting enough makeup for a full face but I sucked at makeup (wrong shade etc) so it only lasted for like a week until I went back to mascara, blush, and lipgloss; sometimes pencil eyeliner. In 7th grade, I wore mascara, blush, lipgloss, eyeshadow (like blue, pink, silver lmao it was so ugly), sometimes eyeliner (only pencil very lightly), and powder. In 8th grade, I pretty much wore the same thing as what I wore in 7th grade except I wore concealer instead of powder. Than in freshman year, I wore mascara, concealer, eyeshadow, pencil eyeliner, brow stuff, and lipgloss. This lasted for like two months until I got so lazy to do it in the morning so I ended up changing my routine. I started to just do mascara, brow stuff, pencil eyeliner, concealer, and lip balm!

MY sister bought those cheap eyeshadow palettes from CVS once to try a transformation look she saw on Michelle Phan. I got into that and some of my mom's mineral makeup before--she was a good 3 shades darker than me bc i was a pale af kid who read all day and never saw the light of day. In 7th/8th grade I wore a powder foundation that was way too orange for my skin and some mascara. The powder used to stop at my jaw and I didn't even know there was a difference between foundation and concealer. In high school I wore some liquid foundation just to keep me from picking at my face, as well as some brow gel. Then right before my senior year, I really got into it. Problem was, I didn't blend my eyeshadow or contour, didn't know how to work with eyeliner, and put concealer all over my face on top of my foundation. Also made my eyebrows WAY too big.
