I have been a barber for over 40 years, our profession is a passion of mine. I became a barber at 19. There was a time when i thought our profession would dissapear but thanks to young men like yourself our profession is not only alive and well it is at a whole higher level. Thanx!
@SuperN1ntendoChalmers2 жыл бұрын
I know this is late, but what made you think the barber profession would become obsolete? hair always grows, unless you are dead. Giving yourself a haircut is damn near impossible, so it needs to be done by others professionally.

first let me say, mad respect for keepin it real. With time you will be better and better. The reason you might have found yourself going further and further up on the sides is because you have to realize that people have many different types of growth patterns and if you are cutting against the grain, then that doesnt alway mean straight up. Follow the growth patterns. It turned out pretty good, but if you cut less by the rules and more by what is in front of you, you will progress even faster. Good job bro

He’s in a shop with a bunch of good barbers. That’s a blessing and a curse. He’s seeing the end result of a ton of nice haircuts and trying to duplicate them not knowing how to get from “a” to “b.” It’s more than just open, halfway, closed.

Fonz, I have a couple questions, my man. 1. What was your inner conversation like while cutting mans up? I would imagine you had some doubt at certain points, but you kept the vision alive long enough to execute it. 2. Did the client get upset or cranky for being in the chair that long? 3. Did you prep the client and let him know how long the cut would take? Or did you just take it head on? 4. How long was the entire cut? How could you have shortened the time to cut it? Amazing patience brother, I’m learning to grow mine and just take my time with the cuts to perfect em.
