FULL Fantasy in The Sky Fireworks at Disneyland! Throwback Nite Event!
Just yesterday, a private event was held at Disneyland Park, and this fun event was themed after the 50's and 60's! And for this event, there was a very special fireworks performance held only for attendees, and that fireworks show was the "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks! This was the original and first fireworks show at Disneyland park ever, and it made it's debut back in 1958! This was also a fireworks show created by Walt Disney himself as well!
"Throwback Nite" was a special ticketed event held at Disneyland park on January 18, 2018 (last night) and was themed after the 50's and 60's. To accomodate the theme, several live bands performed 50's and 60's music throughout the park, specifically in the areas of Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, and Fantasyland. There were also dance floors for everyone to get jammin' to the music of these bands as well! There were also exclusive food items as well as merchandise sold for those who attended Throwback Nite. Special photo backdrops were scattered throughout the park for guests to take to take photos and share their memories! Throwback Nite lasted from 8:00PM to 1:00AM.

Oh man, I ALWAYS LOVE the firework shows at Disney. I remember one time, I was riding Splash Mountain And the fireworks were on, when the drop happened. I even got a video on it!

Inside Disney Good thing I have a water proof case for my phone. And yea, I got a video of the fireworks on Splash on the big drop! AND it was during one of the greatest parts of the firework show. When the fireworks go RAPID in the sky.

So just to confirm... this show dates back to 1958. I know Mary Poppins didn't come out until several years later. Did the show originally have different music? Or perhaps no music at all?

The soundtrack has changed a lot over the years. I think this current one is a more modern version. Before the first new show "Believe... There's Magic in the Stars", the soundtrack was the same up until the Small World segment. Then it went to the Mickey Mouse Club theme song as a pre-finale. Then the show ends with a patriotic finale. There's a list on Wikipedia of the various songs the show has had over the years, though I don't know how reliable it might be.
