That last kick was the TENTH that Justin landed in the fight...nine of them on the same leg. Brian started wincing after the second kick. That boy Justin kicks like a mule! I don't know why more fighters don't concentrate on using the leg kick...it's very effective

Joe Marshall That is because (in my humble opinion) it leaves you open to punches right down the pipe. Justin has helluva chin and he knows the damage he’s dishing out will be equal to or greater than whatever’s coming his way. I’m pretty sure he’s said that he doesn’t have power, he’s just not afraid to throw his power where a lot of people will shy away from it so they don’t expose themselves. He’s a savage honestly. One of the most exciting fighters to watch

I hope. Khabib is a beast, and I do like him, but I binged his fights a while back and many are “boring”. Not in the technical, fighting sense. He’s brilliant technique wise. But still not as eventful as watching Justin’s fights. I think Justin will be have good enough take down defense and defense on the ground to hopefully make khabib stand up more with him. It’s gonna be an awesome fight for sure.

One thing about Gathje is he will never let people dance around, he will literally walk at you, wear on your gas tank with pressure, and using leg kicks to push the pace. That last part brutalizes fighters. If you do not respond or are tentative at all Gathje will snap you with leg kicks until you either fall into a straight up war with him or your legs give out.

Justin reminds me of Dan Henderson...they both have the same build with a stiff and straight back that makes them look extremely inflexible.
