The commentators were trying so hard to sell Whittaker to us. I thought it was looking bad for him by the end of the second round. His power was having zero effect, Cameron looked very comfortable and was starting to get a gauge on Whittaker.

His power was ineffective against liam but you see in the 5th round he adjusted and started fighting from range kuz liam was hurting him but ben was winning the boxing match but losing the fight . I urge to watch this fight with unbiased eyes and mind a few times trying to score it. I think if after the 5th, if ben decided to continue to fight in the pocket with liam it would have turned into a KO by liam.

It’s disgusting. Whittaker clearly looks up to the ceiling as he thinks about it and then launches his head backwards with his arms hooked under Cameron and pulls him over the ropes. They fell in slow motion. There’s no chance he injured himself, especially not his ankle. Maybe something was wrong with him on the night as the interaction with his coach between rounds was strange and he seemed really vacant and distracted, but regardless he absolutely quit.

Not neccesarily bad if youve got natural power, but if you dont then you wont do a thing to someone with a chin without sitting on your punches and using your body weight. Problem is though, his frame isnt the right frame for that. Camerons built way thicker so when he sits on his punches he gets decent power.

Whitaker lost that fight. He was just about to get knocked out and he throw Cameron over the ropes. Watch his eyes. He clearly looks up to see where he is about to go (ie about to throw Cameron) to get himself out of the fight. It was a good fight really - at least Whitaker wasnt doing his showboating stuff as he usually does -( well he couldnt could he - his opponent was too good) - which although its entertaining in its way to a certain degree - will never replace actual class. I hope Whitaker recovers from this and makes his way back. I still think hes very good - and Cameron deserves as much as he can now get out of the sport - a true pro.

Have been waiting to watch this, Cameron was putting some good work together, landing plenty, Whitaker’s movement was non existent. Would have been real interesting to see this fight go further. Having finally watched this 4 times in a row, I can see how it's a draw, I gave Whittaker 1 & 2 but Cameron 3 & 4. Round 5 was easily Camerons but sadly it's not counted. Whittaker was very ragged in round 5 and Cameron was getting through with solid punches which had a massive affect on Whittaker. To me it looked like Whittaker was looking for a way to either bide some time or get out of there. It did look like he was pulling and getting ready to go over the ropes and watching the slow mo it's hard to see any major injury to his right ankle, he didn't land on it from what I could see. Obviously I am no medical expert but that round 5 was clearly not what Whittaker was expecting... Welcome to the pro game..
