Man, I've seen hundreds of WMMA fights and these two ladies, I've never seen a more competitive and all round brilliant fight. At the end of the second I was thinking neither of them deserve to lose, massive heart and fighting spirit shown by both from start to finish!

​@blipco5 definitely up there. Everyone knows and has seen Rousey v Holm and consider them the top female fighters when Rousey was active. I'd guess not half as many would know these two girls and yet Rousey v Holm was not even remotely competitive with Holly dominating every aspect and then de-railed the Rousey Hype Train with a stunning head kick. Rousey looked worse than amateur in that complete shut out so if one sided beat downs with highlight reel KO is your thing, then that would be your type to watch. On the other hand if, like me, you enjoy genuinely 50/50 fights by two fighter's who give just as good as they take and give absolutely everything in a back and forth extremely competitive fight, then this fight in terms of value for money and entertainment... you can't even compare the two fights for quality, this fight is by far the better of the two. Its just Rousey, Nunes, Cyborg etc have the names but they were rarely in competitive fights. In fairness to them though its because they are so good. Especially Amanda who I think truly is the GOAT in Womens MMA and I could watch that girl fight all day Her sense or humor is something that makes her even more watchable. She is a self admitted obsessed freak over the movie Home Alone and in one interview she was in fits of laughter as she recalled the first time she came to New York saying: "So I arrive and I'm like wowwww, this is New York, man! And so my coach is telling me 'OK Amanda we need to go to this gym to start training and I tell him I will, but first, I must go around the city and see all the places where they filmed home alone and so I say to coach goodbye and then I go around and I find all the places in the city where they filmed Home Alone!" As Amanda is telling this she and the interviewer and in stitches laughing. Her personality adheres you to her because for how absolutely brilliant she is as a fighter, she doesn't take herself overly serious outside the octagon and that's a good quality to keep when your at the level and fame she was as champion.

We tend to think in terms of careers while each fight is its own moment in time. This could have been Torres's peak but if it was it's a nice peak.

No, but you can't judge as a fan, you have to judge as if you have no idea who the fighters are. I've seen several of Rose's UFC fights, but never saw her Invicta fights. She lost the first two rounds which makes the 29-28 score for Torres correct.

That's what I thought, too. Rose back in Invicta? Wow, I thought. Then I noticed that she had hair again and more "baby fat". Close fight, Rose would have done more damage now from the ground, more movement into at least attacking with elbows. Shows how far Thug Rose has come! Good fight from both, neither deserved to lose.

Никаким контролем наманюс не управляла,разве только отрезки в 3 раунде,торрес была лучше в технике,в движении и в ударах,нанеся конкретный ущерб наманюс,чему доказательство её распухшее лицо и поведение после гонга,наманюс понимала что вчистую проиграла и даже руки не подняла,потому что знала уже решение в пользу малышки торрес

MMA enthusiast may love this fight and the fact that it was mostly a striking fight, no doubt these girls put up a good fight and did all they could. That said, coming from a boxing background, I can't find any relief on the fact that their striking is so ineffective. Torres throws mostly arm punches. If she learns to leverage her punches with body and use more torque, she could knock out many of these fighters, but instead she has to battle throughout all rounds. Those arm punches are not going to do the job and learn to set your opponent. In my opinion, Namajunas is a better fighter, but she lost to Torres physical strength.

The judges got it right. Remember, likes don't win fights. Neither does takedown. It's what you do with the takedown if you are behind on the cards.

Torres won the first two rounds. Rose did better in the third but the take down was not clean. Tecia initially had her back and Rose did a great job of gaining top but failed to punish Torres who fought well off her back. The so called second take down was not a take down from a standing position as such but a good job again by Rose to regain position as Tecia was escaping and Rose regained position. However Rose failed to control Torres who struck well from the guard. Good fight, proper decision.
