Hey Tim, Rewatched this one for the 100th time. I really should go get some bacon like you have at 7:58. It looks superb. However, I'd recommend the Russell Green River for KP. She's the Queen of the crossover, kitchen/outdoor knives. Thanks for all the great content of late. Cheers.

Kuukkeli Bushcraft I didn't know you could buy black pudding in Hetta! It is a worthy addition xD I'm working from home Mondays and tuesdays and furloughed rest of the week. haven't been on any trips anywhere, the tent is just in my garage. It seems to have cleaned up alright. Yeah let me know when you're back, it's not worth coming back yet though honestly. You have to keep a meter away from everyone, no gatherings, got to wear masks in shops, and they reckon there'll be a second spike in Autumn. Enjoy the nature and good company over in Hetta!

Never had black pudding 😧 your missing out mate. Basically it's pigs blood and fat. The town where I am from is very well known for its black pudding. I knew you were going to ask about the mushrooms. Gypsy mushroom and Russula, not sure which Russula but definitely not any of the ones that you can't eat. They were growing within a few yards of the tent as were the berries. Definitely can't go wrong with bacon, best food on the planet. Thanks for watching mate Hope you have a great week. Okay basically what i wanna know is can you get away with going in the forest and building a small log cabin for yourself in an uninhabited part or do you need to actually purchase land?

Im looking on going to either sweden norway or finland in the summer aswel, i cant take the uk anymore its a joke
@KuukkeliBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
@@philipboffey8630 sorry mate, I don't think there is anywhere in Europe that you can find a spot and just build on it and if there is it certainly isn't Finland. Land prices however are cheap in remote areas with no road access or lake. You will Find the sweedish side of the border cheaper I believe and the regulations are likely to be similar. There is a limit to the number of days that you are allowed to stay in a wilderness cabin but nobody will check up on that.You should have a permanent address somewhere (It can be a freinds house, not legal or honest but you could get away with it) You also in theory need planning permission for anything other than a tiny building (I think the limit is 3x3m). If you want an element of self sufficiency, agriculture is challenging in this environment and you need permits to hunt and fish. The fishing one is easy to get but the hunting one is not. I think your first step should be to get over here and find people doing something similar. There is an website called work away where they look for volunteers, there are various self or semi self sufficient communities on there it could be a good start and the people doing that kind of thing will be more clued up than me. I am definitely not off grid, have a job and live in a normal house. I do know a bit about cabins though as it is part of my job to build them. Basically it's similar to the UK when it comes to this kind of thing. Possible but difficult involving lots of red tape. On the plus side there is some cheap land here some of it with a cabin already built. Also you will now need a visa to stay any lengh of time. Would help if you could find work over here at least for a while. There are a lot of empty cabins here. Holiday homes that are often little used, maybe you could find someone who would let you use theirs maybe in exchange for renovating it. To be honest mate if it was easy I would be doing it already. Where are you from in the North West? The accent you are hearing is a mixture of Bury, Southport and Flintshire. From Bury/Rochdale originally but moved around quite a lot in my youth.
@KuukkeliBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
@@philipboffey8630 a couple of months in the forest should be very doable in the summer. Wild camping is allowed pretty much anywhere. You can't stay in the same spot for too long though. Plenty of fish, mushrooms and berries if suplinented with some carbs.

I tend to use the knife that I will be reviewing next. If I was to choose an all round knife though this would probably be the one that I would choose as it is performing great so far.
