I have watched hundreds of takeoffs and landings and every single time I see one, I get goosebumps and my mind is blown away! Just the idea of hundreds of tons of metal carrying human lives flying through the air just fascinates me endlessly!!! Thanks for making these videos!!! Really awesome!!

First let me start by saying thank you for not fast forwarding any parts and adding cheesy music to your uploads! I'm sad anytime I get on a plane for a 3 hour+ flight and don't have a IFE screen in front of me. Just doesn't seem right. Delta clearly spoils me. Kudos to Airbus for never giving up on the A321. There was a time where it was barely selling. Now look it's the only 75 replacement currently available. (737-9ER and Max 10 simply come too short in execution) Excellent as always. Too bad you weren't filming when Concorde still flew 😁
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you enjoy the content as it’s presented my friend. As for the IFE, most airlines do provide IFE now even if there aren’t screens. For example, AA provides free access to their wifi and inflight streaming library, as long as you bring your own screen. So it really depends on the airline. Also, I agree. It is too bad I never was able to fly or film Concorde!

I think this was our flight from Hawaii in 2021, I had a bad tooth problem, I had to eat soft foods for two days before I got my tooth back in place because it was a bridge, I had a severe infection in my mouth when I got home, and it was so painful I was really upset and couldn’t take the pain.😢, I was eating a pork chop and I probably bit into the bone and that was when my tooth came out, but thankfully it didn’t fall down the drain in the bathroom of my parent’s room at the resort, they had to put it back in with some temporary glue until I got home from the trip to fix it.

been on so many of these, the scary part isat first the loud noise that you can hear even inside but all of a sudden it goes quiet, makes you wonder what happen?
@sla31
@sla31 Жыл бұрын
Well, lucky for you, and I and explain exactly what causes that. When you take off, the aircraft is in the densest air, with more weight than at any other point in flight. You only get lighter as you go and burn fuel off. So, the engines have to work hardest at takeoff. The loud noise you hear is because of that. The engines are working really hard to get all of that weight in the air. The buzzing or raiding you hear is caused by the fan blades breaking the speed of sound. It’s thousands of small sonic booms happening. As you climb, the air gets less dense, and the aircraft is getting lighter. As you climb higher and higher, the engines have to work less and less. So the buzzing dissipates, and it gets quieter and quieter. Simple as that. Thanks for watching!

@@sla31 for some it might be a bit scary, been on a few where the noise was loud as mentioned, and then bang it stops, seen somewhere they wonder if they turned off the engines. But since we were still in the air and at the cruising it made me not worry

They do this a lot for the early departures. The flights that leave before the constant flow of arrivals from the mainland. After about 10-11am there’s a pretty constant flow of arrivals, but before that everything is still chugging along over the pacific. So, early in the morning they use the close runway for departures.

You don’t find 5 hours on an A321 pushing it? I thought my 6 hour flight from ANC to DFW on a 752 was hell. I do notice that the newer gens tend to fly like a bigger plane though if you know what I mean?
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
As far as what the aircraft is capable of, no. As far as what I’m willing to deal with, just about. 5-6 hours is about as long as I want to be on a narrow body. Anything longer than that and I’d prefer a wide body.

Anyway, I didn't know it was going to be a321-253nx which is a Neo. It's going to be my first time!

I'm not 100% sure how to answer this. The first part of your comment makes it appear as if you think this is a simulation? Although, I could just be reading it wrong. It looks real because it is real. All of the content I post is real life footage, shot with iPhone 12 Pros. Thanks for watching!

So is the A321 Neo is basically killing off the 757, right? Delta still has a large fleet, but AA got rid of their 757s in a hurry.

Yeah sadly, the glorious 757 (my fav passenger plane of all time) is gradually being phased out around the world. The old girl certainly had a great run, though. :)

As far as face masks, my husband is on oxygen. Does he have to wear a mask or would he be exempt?

I honestly don’t know the answer to this. This would be something you’d want to ask the airline about ahead of time.

@@sla31 Do you hold your phone up to the window the whole flight? I would assume that gets tiring. I’m kinda wanting to do something similar. I want to post videos of full flights that I’m on with the window view, but I would get a GoPro and mount it to the window so I don’t have to worry about holding it up or battery running low. I don’t go on many flights though so those videos wouldn’t be as frequent as yours. Your videos are great, but I would think it gets tiring
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
Typically yes. I have a mount but don’t use it very much. I used to use GoPros, but found their quality lacking when compared to an iPhone. For reference, the last GoPro I used was a 7 Black, while also using an iPhone X. I also had a lot of reliability issues with GoPros. The reason I don’t use a mount more with the iPhone is because too many vibrations get transferred into the lens. iPhones aren’t specifically designed as action cameras like GoPros, so you get a jello effect when using a mount. The GoPro didn’t have this problem, but I mentioned the other issues I had with it.
